Dangerous company. I had no choice to use the deceitful Tristrams after failing to find other accommodation as the search for accommodation was very late in the summer. They were dishonest from the beginning. They never mentioned 'Housing 35'. It is 100% my fault because I applied to a Postgraduate course way too late (June). I didn't know until weeks that i was going to live in Nottingham for the year. I viewed the property and i begged the agent, could i view another room, as the room i viewed was too small. Rude guy says 'i'm in a rush, take it or leave it'. So i took it in anger. To be as anonymous as i can and not to bait myself to which accommodation I am, but It is similar to the previous comment. The walls are so thin, i now have to USE A FAN to mask the noise to not hear my flatmate constantly having s//x everyday or hear my other flatmate loud talking or hear any noise in general. The address of my accommodation is trash and I have to keep going to the post office delivery in some village in nottingham 'because they keep telling me the address is too hard to find' or 'there is no buzzer at the door' - WHICH THIS IS TRUE? WHY MAKE an EX PUB HOTEL in an crime ridden Ilford/hackney/peckham-like area have no buzzer? When you call them, you get the rude woman being clueless. I remember when i moved in.... 9 days of no cooking because i didn't know how to use the 'induction hob'. Only one of my flatmates showed me how to use the hob and to buy 'special pots' for the hob. The same with my other flatmate, I had to show her when she moved in to buy those 'special pans that only work on induction hob'. This is just a honest interview and i'm sorry if i have to write the truth online. You don't communicate with your tenants (no, bun those housing meetings termly). You don't communicate that someone will enter your room without notice... I know things when they are moved in my room... i'm not having it. I should have known when I first moved in september when I had NO Microwave, NO Table, NO Chair, I HAD to spend money to buy table and chair and the woman on the phone was useless as usual. Oh and I found someone had already Poo in my toilet on the day i moved in...

All I can say is do not ever choose to rent from this company, also known as "Housing 35" which operate under "Tristrams Lettings". You think you'll be dealing with Tristrams for all your maintenance and problems etc. but you actually deal with this company instead. Moved in back in September and the amount of issues with the property is ridiculous. My hob didn't work for over a week until someone finally came and replaced the fuse. There are several plug sockets that don't work and some are loosely fitted to the wall, definitely dangerous. Not to mention during the Winter the hot water has been short circuiting and sometimes the entire building has been left without hot water or central heating for up 2 to 3 concurrent days, absolutely unacceptable. The flat I'm staying in is surrounded by about 50 other flats and you can hear everything at all times at all hours. The walls and floors are so unbelievably thin and if you try to complain, Housing 35 will lie to you and say they're taking action when in fact they're doing nothing. Monday to Friday you can hear maintenance, cleaners, the landlord around the property almost every single day... Not to mention all of the incredibly loud keypads that are used to gain access to the building (which also barely work half of the time)... Also the fire alarms are constantly malfunctioning and going off all the time, sometimes at 1 or 2am in the morning. You will never get a moment of peace or quiet renting from this clearly inexperienced company which are obviously trying to make an easy penny off students and people who are less fortunate than most. Avoid at all costs.
