It’s a decent night out, especially if you’re an ice hockey fan. But if not, it’s certainly worth going to at least one in your life. The hockey is a decent standard and the NIC is the nicest arena in the league, so you’ll be spoilt with good sightlines, atmosphere, space etc. Tickets are easy to come by – just buy them from the website and you’ll be sent an e-ticket. The most popular games are against the arch-rival Sheffield Steelers, and tickets go fast if they’re in town. Easier to get against the other teams. If you’re a student, take advantage of the student deals! Food & drink is reasonably priced and there’s an on-site shop so that you can buy Panthers merchandise. In general, the games have a good atmosphere and the Panthers fans are a die-hard bunch. It can be lacking if they’re playing a rubbish team, but against big teams like Sheffield & Cardiff – it’s worth going to. If you’ve never watched ice hockey before and you’re tempted, this is the best place in the country to do it! Nottingham, Belfast and Glasgow offer the nicest fan experience so take advantage if you’re in Nottingham and you’re wanting something to do for an evening.

My first Ice Hockey match and really enjoyed it, exciting end to end stuff. Some corny tannoy stuff but it added to the atmosphere. Good views from the seats, plenty of food and drink outlets (bit pricey but that was expected) all in all a good time was had.
