    NORTH WEST APPLIANCE REPAIR is appalling for: 1) service 2) customer relations 3) delivery and collection I insured my vacuum cleaner through DOMESTIC AND GENERAL several months ago. I reported work repair work to DOMESTIC AND GENERAL. They booked a repair for 30 March 2023. Nobody arrived. I contacted DOMESTIC AND GENERAL to complain. DOMESTIC AND GENERAL transferred my telephone call to: NORTH WEST APPLIANCE REPAIR. I was advised that they do not visit sites, the collect and repair at there company. I thought nothing of it and asked why and when wasn't collection arrangement organised. The operative said she will arrange for one now. She asked if I have a box to put my vacuum into. I replied NO. The operative then asked if I can buy one. I replied NO. The operative then arranged for delivery date of empty box. The operative arranged another date for collection of vacuum cleaner. On Friday 12 May 2023, I followed up repair status. I was advised that my vacuum cleaner is repaired and will be delivered on Monday 15 May 2023 between 09:00 and 17:00. I did not see delivery. I waited until Friday 19 May 2023 and followed up delivery. I was told that the vacuum was not collected by their couriers. The operative arranged for another delivery for Monday 22 May 2023 between 09:00 and 17:00. I interrupted and requested NORTH WEST APPLIANCE REPAIR return my vacuum cleaner by mini-taxi. The operative responded NO. I requested a by 10:00 courier service. The operative stated they cannot comply. I was advised by the operative: vacuum cleaner will be sent for delivery on Monday 22 May 2023 between 09:00 and 17:00 . Today is Friday 26 May 2023 and my vacuum cleaner is NOT returned.

    They didn't repair my brand new washer. Dryer because they never turned up for two appointments three weeks after making the appointments. They have the cheek to say if they can find nothing me hanical they will charge me for call out. Where is my two day re compense. Where is my engineer. The firm is the pits..sent by d and g insurancce who also didn't want to know. DOnt go near either company. Services: Washing machine repair, Dryer repair

    I tried to book a repair through Domestic and General with this outfit. Although I had an appointment with them they never turned up after waiting a month: no phone call. When after 2 and half hours on the phone I finally got through to them they just kept repeating it wasn't their problem. No concept of customer service: girl on phone couldn't have been bothered less. Really unprofessional. Will never use again. Service: Refrigerator repair

Will you please pass on to his line manager/boss (and him) my appreciation for his professionalism,knowledge and service orientated attitude to sorting out the problem,which he did.     If I could give no stars I would!! The end of December 2022 my Samsung American fridge freezer stopped working. I called Samsung who told me to use this company. I had to wait for an engineer to come out and assess the fault on the fridge. He said it was the pcb boards and would order new ones. I received a call to say it would be two weeks!. After two weeks a different engineer brought the parts, fitted them and left without waiting to see if they made a difference.... they didn't. Another call ( more about the calls later)... another engineer booked another two week wait. New engineer said it was the compressor. It's under warranty but I still had to pay for it then claim it back. Another call..... another two weeks. I called the company today, 1st March... to be told they couldn't fix it!! Eight weeks I've been waiting for this. I had it agreed by one of the women on the phone that as the pcb boards were not the issue, my old ones would be replaced and I would receive a refund for them. During todays call I was told that the old parts were scrapped so that wouldn't have happened. No explanation could be given as to why this repair couldn't be completed. Now, communication. This company has on their website that the phone lines are manned from 8am, the recorded message when you call says the same, it's a lie. When you do get through and are listening to the hold message it says someone will be with you in a moment, it's a lie.... 28 minutes is not a moment. I have over thirty calls that I have made to this company since December, many of which are due to me being put on hold and the cut off! You then have to go through the whole call waiting again. I called Samsung and informed them of my experience with the company they told me to use, suggesting that they cease business with North West Appliance Repairs ( another lie, my fridge is not repaired!), due to their inability to function as advertised. They said they would refund all the money I have paid out so far, the least I would expect after two months, now I have to find a reliable company. Service: Refrigerator/freezer repair
