In my 50’s now and decided it was time to have a tattoo. I wanted something small, quite simple in design but that meant something. I went to Mat at North Star after reading reviews and am so pleased with my experience. My daughter drew a design for me and I printed it out the small size I wanted it to be and gave it to Mat. He explained the process and aftercare and how it may change over time due to how small some of the parts were. I am extremely happy with how it looks on my wrist and it is very special to me. I had previously seen some of his other, larger pieces and was really impressed with his art. I am glad I booked him for my first tattoo and would definitely go to him for more. Keith was very approachable and welcoming when we walked in, and was ready in a few minutes. He made an effort to calm any nerves I had with casual conversation. He was very careful, spending a minute or two on placement to make sure it was the best for me (and I love it!); he was very cautious with hygiene, throwing away a glove and getting a new earring when he dropped one on the seat. The method he used was really good and was over in several seconds. Keith is extremely kind, gentle, and obviously experienced in what he was doing.
