My wife is under the gastro team for Crohn’s disease. They are absolutely terrible. When she’s in agony and can’t get out of bed you can’t even get a phone call back from them. The only person who can prescribe her medication is regularly off work or forgets and so she has a nightmare spending hours phoning round different people to try and get a her meds. To top it off they booked her an appointment for the day of the king’s coronation she asked are you sure that’s going ahead as it’s a bank holiday and got told yes definitely followed by some sarcastic remark about nhs not getting days off, only to turn up and find out that all appointments have been cancelled. They then rebook it for today at 4:15pm it’s now 5pm she still hasn’t been seen, there’s no receptionist to be seen and the nurse said “sorry this isn’t my usual site I can’t help you”. This unfortunately just feels like an utter failure. It’s so disheartening. To go through a chronic illness like this and she feels so alone…

The hospital is amazing and every member of staff is truly caring within paediatrics. I have had nothing but excellent care for my daughter. I appreciate the people here immensely. Thank you to everyone on Starlight Ward as well as Children's A and E. You are all brilliant.

They have serious misunderstandings about emergencies. I’ve been waiting for 9 hours and it is still going on

I don’t know what happened but the people that are working here now are AMAZING. You might have to wait a while but once the wait is over you will be treated nicely. All of the workers were great but I forgot to take all of their names. One name that I remember clearly is HAMDI. She is amazing and such an angel. Made sure I was comfortable and I could see that she really wanted to help me. I was sitting down which made my pain worse and she made sure to get me a bed ASAP without me having to ask. Always came to check in on me and the other patients. She is really amazing and so are her colleagues. May God bless all of them.

Arrived at 1:30am and did not see the doctor until 04:30am. Left the hospital as the receptionist said the waiting time was 5/6 hours.

It’s the second time when I’m here And as well the worst experience of my life They made me to wait 3 hours in pain just to get in touch with a nurse all she did was to put some details in computer and after the sent me in another waiting room to wait for a medic I presume after 2 more hours of waiting I lost my patience and I left home I bought some painkillers from the shop that’s over the street Never again !!! GP is doing a way better job
