Poor advice given by consultant resulting in a much more involved operation. Not informed I had been given a double anaesthetic and not advised to stay in overnight. The hospital then charged my insurance company saying I had stayed overnight. I was given a release form already filled in by another patient.

Had disastrous 2019 appointment with male urologist who was usless and disrespecful. I was thankfully referred on to UCLH where I saw an amazing doctor and got a sensible diagnosis. The chap I saw here was a bully and I felt I would have been harmed. These old fashioned types need to read up on women's UTI treatment: I recommend reading Professor Malone Lee's papers and book. Reported to my GP who no doubt ignored. avoid.

I had a Total Knee Replacement on 2nd July 2022 and was discharged on. 5th July. The staff were kind and , in particular, the physio and nurses helped sufficiently with pain relief and moblility to enable discharge . The procedures of pre-op and admission were sympathetically and efficiently dealt with. As an NHS patient I was dealt with as though I was one of the hospital’s private patients. I count myself extremely fortunate. The medical team were of the very highest standard.

Loses my advanced appointment couple days before. Never sends any reminders or confirmations of the appointment, so I couldnt get an appointment for another month. Maybe think about notifying your clients so they know they have a confirmed booking prior to the appointment.

If you have heart problems AVOID this hospital. We pay a very expensive medical insurance to use private hospitals and services because of what it offers or 'should offer'. I've been having some heart problems, saw Dr. Richard Allen on the 15 of DEC.2021 who told me that North Downs would get in touch to arrange 2 important heart tests. On the 16th got an email from Mr. allen> saying: "I have requested both tests from East Surrey, but if North Downs can do the 48 hour ECG tape faster they will be in touch". 1 month has passed and nobody got in touch with me. So today I decided to write to Mr. Allen who replies by asking: "Have you had your ECG test at North Downs yet? I have not had a result back from them". A few minutes later, I got an email from the same doctor saying" there is a huge demand on the service both private and NHS at the moment as there is in all sections of health". This is not true with the private care system. I have used other services in other places and never had this non-sense. Lack of communication internally, neglect with its patients, disorganisation and unprofessionalism, this is the least I can say about this place. Does that mean now that nobody in 🇬🇧 can look for private doctors, and private hospitals at the moment because of a long waiting list in the private sector? Why do we all pay for private health insurances? Utterly dismayed!
