Had to have a CT scan of my lower limbs and they'd sent me an appointment for a Sunday afternoon. This was good as the car parks actually had spaces, normally they're very busy. Appointment was 15 minutes late but I was well looked after.

Absolutely appalling attitude from an A&E reception woman at this hospital, simply because I was trying to locate a vulnerable person. Instead of being advised regarding the best course of action, I got told off by this condescending woman. I have only been able to get the information I was looking for after I have been redirected to 5 different people and an answer machine, simply because most of them could not be bothered or don't have a minimum understanding of GDPR. What a joke!

Left without essential medication twice in three years. Same mistake repeated. Consultant ignored calls. A week before I ran out I was told 100% that I would have the newer licensed medication in time (previously unlicensed medication provided by NNUH). Only found out that I would a few days before I ran out. Nobody told me what was going on The head of the eye department said it was down to the consultant and did not know how to get medication and washed his hands of the situation. The consultant ignored calls and his secretary could not answer none of my questions. No apology from consultant despite same thing happening before under his care. I had to contact a specialist consultant elsewhere to get the issue sorted. The medication was available at another hospital but they just kept making excuses. The CEO and other senior managers were aware but do not care and as per below have not responded to safety questions months later. I wonder if there is a cover up because I cannot refer the complaint on to ombudsman until they have replied to the questions I raised. Went without essential medication for 3 months. Spent hours chasing and when the consultant did refer to another hospital he did it incorrectly. So if I had not contacted a specialist I’d probably still be without medication. All I was asking for was the licensed medication. They made excuse after excuse saying they can’t prescribe licensed medication, yet consultant said it would be no issue. A member of SLT said we can’t prescribe an unlicensed version if a licensed is available, against rules. They had been doing exactly that for 18 months. Three years ago CQC asked me to tell them if I had same issue of being left without medication, so are NNUH treating me like this because they want to hide serious issues? My consultant who ignored me, did not tell me or call me when I was left without medication or answer questions. He works in private practice but it suggests I am a second class citizen. NNUH only told a vague story of what was going on when I left a message on the CEO’s voicemail. If you are leaving me without medication at least tell me why and call me. Took me five minutes to find pharmacy with the medication. If you care why are complaints not being addressed? If I don’t get a response ombudsman can do nothing. Therefore unsafe practices can go unchecked. Ignored complaint after being left without medication for the second time in three years. First time was three weeks and this time was circa three months! Essential medication that is supposed to br taken several times a day, and a number of questions were raised in the complaint which were ignored. Other patients at the hospital with same issue. Senior members aware but have chosen not to respond to questions despite history repeating itself. Serous concerns this could be a widespread issue and perhaps there could be a cover up. This review is about a serious concern that they do not learn lessons or listen to complaints.

Friendly staff but such a shame they take 8-10 hours to see anyone. If it's an emergency then you'll be lucky to be seen within the first hour of arriving!!!

Their lack of care lead to the death of my grandmother. If you cannot afford to go to Switzerland then by all means go to the N&N, they’ll do the job just as well.

Huge shame of Norwich is this hospital which is very badly run. Unprofessional management , even amateur management. I mean the workplace from which employees of all levels are fleeing. There is no space here to write about the tragedy of the workers but it can be summed up in one important thing that says it all - workers have no parking spaces or have to pay £80 to attend to patients in the workplace.

Just the parking area. Other Hospitals are free but NNUH you need to pay. Even if you are working in the hospital.
