    I have been very loyal to NJ Autobodies and brought my car back to them time and time again, even after having it repaired and only to have issues again. I am a very agreeable person so I believe it was the car/my driving and stayed loyal and have always been friendly to them.
However, when I brought my car in at the start of a week... and before even handing over the car keys, they quoted me £700 plus VAT for the said issue and said it will be ready to collect the following week on Wednesday - Thursday. I was happy for them to go ahead with the repair and thank them.
After leaving my car with them a few days I phoned them at the end of the week to reconfirm the collection day being any time next week, until Saturday even giving them extra time, as I will only need it on the Sunday for work.
They told me to call back next week on Monday when they ‘maybe’ would have a look at it. They told me it was better I consider taking it somewhere else, so I said okay and walked down (30 minutes one way each time) to get my keys back so I could take it to another garage that will have the job done sooner and not promise me false completion days. I walked in and the receptionist said to hold on. She walks out of the room and when she comes back in (without my keys) she tells me “you need to pay us £25 though we should be charging you £50”. I responded “but you told me the mechanic will only be able to look at it Monday at very earliest?”. She goes again and speaks to someone else who says that I need to pay that as a fee for them diagnosing it so I said “I keep coming back to you time and time again for anything and I would not have left it with you in the first place if the mechanic himself had not promised me it would be done by Wednesday-Thursday. I also don't understand why the receptionist told me they have not yet looked at it just before and now saying you’ve worked on it”. Then they advised me not to drive my car anywhere else because of the repair that needs to be done and tell me someone has spent two hours looking at it which is why they “should be charging me £50 but are not even charging me labour”. At this point I'm very confused and told them that I wouldn't be wasting my or anyone’s time walking back-and-forth every time and would even have likely not collected it if I knew I was coming in and had to pay £50.
There's three men and the receptionist woman arguing with me when one of them says “give her the keys and tell her to never come back again”. I accept the keys, say thank you and leave. UPDATE- they have contacted me on multiple social media from private numbers trying to call me and sent me messages that they will take LEGAL ACTION IF I DO NOT REMOVE THIS REVIEW. I cannot post the screenshots of these random messages from them as they got removed; presumably as its got the contact number and picture of the receptionist with her dog and a child as the profile picture.
