Ninewells is dirty germ factory. Staff are exceptionally rude. I had the Nora virus so was very sick. They parked me next to the side rooms in ward 15 then they moved me into a bay with other patients for 2 hrs then moved me to the next bay for for a few more hours just to make sure that as many, already I'll people, were exposed to my virus before putting me in a side room They blatantly ignore patients. They are horrible nasty nurses. Old lady needed assisted feeding, her food sat in front of her for 1hr then was taken away. No one fed her. Another patient was fed by another patient because no members of staff would feed her. Gloves, medical waste lying on the floor. Stains on the floor. Woman shouted for over an hour for a nurse as she didn't have a working buzzer, nor did I. I got up to look for a nurse. Not a single nurse to be found in the ward. Had to go to next ward to find someone. Never will i let anyone take me to this germ factory. Even if my life depended on it. Ps You don't get water in Ninewells. If you're unfortunate enough to be heading there make sure you have plenty bottles of water with you.

I was referred to Ninewells eye clinic after my optician suspected a retina tear/ retina detachment. The staff are lovely and very caring. The waits are long but the waiting rooms are well kept with comfortable seating. By far the best experience I had at a medical facility. However, there are not enough signs to lead you to the main reception if you're coming from the back of the building. The maps can be confusing and annoying especially if you're already stressed about your health.

Although I’ve never been inside the hospital I’ve been right at the parking lot and the design of the parking spaces and hospital is not very good it’s quite difficult to navigate and get around especially for someone who’s not local, this place is not recommended if your trying to get in it if your injured or have an appointment because you’ll get lost looking for the entrance 😕

Recently took our 5 years old to A&E with the fear she had broken her arm, the children's a&e waiting room was disgusting, used wipes on the floor, sticky chairs... didn't look well maintained. Got sent home without even an xray being done by a Jr Dr because he was happy enough with just feeling her arm. However back up the next morning after a very restless night with her and this time an xray showed a fracture!!! Not only did she come away with a fractured arm but a lovely sickness bug too that she picked up in the hospital!

I was amazed at the speed, efficiency & level of care that I received at Ninewells. I cannot give enough praise. The Doctors and nurse Kerry dressed my wound and gave me much needed medication without fuss or drama, their kindness & professional attitude reminded me of the fantastic NHS we have in the UK and how it must be protected at all costs.
