Took my friends to nightjar yesterday for the first time and we had a great time. Even thought they were busy, they managed to accommodate us around the bar and the bartenders were lovely. Giuseppe and Luca were great with the drinks. The music was lovely. The staff was so friendly and the place has such a lovely atmosphere. My favourite jazz bar in London.

Booked one month in advance for my friends and I and we didn’t even get a table close to the live music (hardly Jazz, it’s just a band) even after asking! Our waiter didn’t know what was on the cocktail/wine menu. Overall a disappointing night and disappointing bar. Probably could be better if you are seated close to the music. Cocktails are less than mediocre. This place attempts to be a speakeasy and walk the walk but it doesn’t talk the talk.

As a fan of classy teas, this bar earns my respect. With a wide and unique menu, I see a thorough glossary in back for anyone confused by the ingredients. What impressed me is the bredth of teas, from popcorn green, to black lapsang sushong, to milky oolong tinctures and meads - these teas go well beyond a basic Lipton mixer. Naturally you pay for quality and creativity here.
