The most recent purchase was a white antique french chest of drawers and we're very happy with this. The ordering and delivery process is straightforward with proactive communication by the team (via e-mail and phone) throughout. I'd be happy recommending them to anyone.

    I bought the Manor black sideboard after seeing it online, priced at £1468. It was, and is currently being described as being made from black finished mahogany wood on the website. When it arrived it was not as described. There was no evidence of any wood grain anywhere on the piece. A small area of it was damaged on arrival and on further inspection this revealed that both the veneer and ‘wood’ underneath were MDF. The use of this material was not reflected in the price or website description. The customer services team did accept that it was MDF that I could see and accepted the return on the same day. I have received a refund but only after chasing this, it took more than 21 days to get this money back.

    Nice enough product (subject to receiving what was advertised) but extremely poor customer service. On 5th March we spent £1300 on an Antique Style Mirrored Sink Unit, pictured on the website with silver taps. Delivery was swift, and we received the unit within 1-2 weeks. Upon opening the box we saw that no taps were provided. We emailed Nicky Cornell on March 18th and were advised “Sorry if there has been misinterpretation on this occasion, the taps are not included with the sink units. Although the images have taps, this is for display purposes only. We have adjusted our website to make Customers aware of this.”… Not the best reply to receive. They’re sorry if there has been misinterpretation. If..? .. And it’s interesting that they thought that fixing the website for future customers would appease us, who had just spent £1300 for a sink which was pictured *with* taps, and no reference to taps not being included. Needless to say I responded asking them to send taps, as shown in the product picture. We received a follow-up email and taps were agreed to be sent. Again, to their credit, delivery was quick and we received them in less than a week. Jump forward 2 weeks and our builders went to fit the sink into our new bathroom and noticed a crack in the glass right at the bottom (only a small crack, less than an inch wide and relatively hidden - a crack which we had not spotted when we initially checked over the sink and discovered no taps). I called Nicky Cornell on 3rd April to advise that our sink has been fully unwrapped and it is damaged, so could we arrange collection and replacement. I was asked to send an email. I sent an email the same day. No reply. I called up the following day to ask if someone can address my email. No reply that day. But the next day (5th April) I did receive a reply, which opened “ We are surprised to learn that this now has damage, as we fully check all items before they leave our Warehouse.” I was then advised of the returns policy, noting that all damages must be reported within 48 hours of delivery. The email then suggested I contact a local glass merchant to fix it. I put my hands up, although we checked the product when received, we didn’t check it inch by inch and must have missed the small crack near the bottom. What I don’t appreciate is the manner of the emails, essentially accusing us of *now* damaging the item (which had remained boxed in the centre of our living room, as we’re not living at the house due to renovations). I even looked back at a video I filmed for my wife, to show her how the cupboard doors beneath the sink unit opened. And on that video you can make out the crack on the glass near the bottom, if you look closely! I sent a response email, advising that I think their returns/damage policy is unreasonable, and that I have video proof, and that I don’t appreciate the wording used in their email - but lo and behold, a week has passed and no reply. (Though I imagine, true to form, they will respond to my 1 star review, needlessly reiterating their returns policy). Overall - the products look nice, albeit some are overpriced, website listings may need to be double checked for accuracy, but unfortunately they’re let down by very poor customer service and after care. We won’t be buying from them again, obviously.

    I recently visited their shop in Ware…a friendly smile and the lady was very welcoming as I entered. A treasure trove of items! So much to look at and I throughly enjoyed walking round. I purchased a lovely footstool and will be back again soon as there is alot on my wish list! Lots of different types of furniture and homewares you don’t see on the high street.
