Our Family was left all through Xmas upto New year without any heating in freezing conditions for 10 days, it completely ruined it for us, No out of hours service incase of an emergency like we had, no sympathy or offer to help from Nicholsons of Scarborough, nobody bothered to answer the phone during office hours for several days of trying to call, I had to ring Filey Branch to get through, When i explained Google states the office is open i was laughed at and told to ignore them hours, they will reply to your emails in a timely manner when they are taking your money but when you have an issue they won't bother, the number of times I have phoned to speak to somebody who has just left the office is laughable. I wanted compensation for all the issues we had with a faulty boiler that never worked and being ill from being cold, when we moved in and our landlord agreed we could leave at any point instead of seeking compensation, that is what we was lead to understand, when we moved out we had 6 weeks rent due to come back to us, only Nicholsons decided that the agreement was not legally binding from the emails and went back on the agreement, we are now £1200 out of pocket and having to go through a small claims court. I would rate these 0 Star if I could, so if you want to be ignored on emails and have difficulty getting through on the telephone and an estate agent who sides with the landlord and doesn't care about tenants choose Nicholsons.
