    Please please AVOID this care home provider. Specifically Alexander House Dover. Short version of events are as follows. There are a lot more ‘issues’ with this place 😞 Unfortunately my father was sent here from hospital for an assessment period of 4 weeks following an illness and decline in his dementia( without any prior consent or contact). On admittance he was FULLY mobile. Unfortunately whilst staying at Alexander house dad suffered 3 falls (we was not made aware at the time) and each time we said he’s told us he’s fallen they dismissed it (yet noted falls in their ‘notes’) he also somehow managed to get an UNGRADEABLE huge bedsore! He was there less than 3 weeks before he was re admitted to hospital urgently due to infection, severe dehydration and a bedsore almost to the bone. Which had developed sepsis!! He was smelly dirty and unkept much like the home itself and other residents (lack of care) any concerns we raised were dismissed by staff and management. No one was willing to take any responsibility. The lack of care my father Received has ultimately caused irreversible life changing injuries and my father will never be mobile nor will he ever come home again. 😞
