  Nic was fantastic throughout the whole process from the initial meeting to receiving the images. He is very friendly and professional and all our wedding guests said how fantastic he was. This is from a couple who don't often have their photos taken, he directed us perfectly and made us feel very comfortable and the images look amazing! His candid photos are as beautiful and as elegant as the creative ones he took, we both believe he captured the beauty and elegance of the whole day perfectly and could not recommend him enough.

  I could not be happier with the experience I had at my wedding with Nic and Taylor. Everything from day 1 was so easy and Nic couldn’t be more helpful. He listened to every single thing I said and worked hard to capture every little detail of our wedding in an unobtrusive manner. He offered direction when needed and at other times stepped into the background to capture the atmosphere and feel of our wedding. The photographs as a result are beautiful and we will treasure them forever. Both Nic and Taylor made us feel very at ease and I honestly couldn’t have asked for any more from them. From start to finish they were true professionals and I would not hesitate to recommend them to everyone!

  Nic is absolutely amazing he is so professional and so friendly. Me and my partner have had an amzing experience with nic our engagement photo shoot and wedding photos are perfect.   From the first time I spoke with Nic, I knew we were going to get along brilliantly and that we were on the exact same page for the style of photographs we wanted for our wedding. Nic made the entire process simple, straightforward and fun, he was available to discuss and plan all the time and was great to share ideas with! On the special day Nic was amazing! Hanging out with the girls getting ready, capturing the perfect moments at the wedding ceremony and then catching all the laughter, the emotions and the party at the reception! Nic was so good at lining up the perfect shots, but perhaps our favourite photos are the ones we didn’t even know he was taking, the ones that really tell the story of the happiest day of our lives. Neither My husband nor I are used to being photographed and yet Nic was able to guide us throught the all process while remaining discreet during the event. We are so happy with our pictures!   Nic was the photographer for our wedding on 1st July at York's Merchant Taylors' Hall. Nick impressed us from the pre-wedding meeting as being confident in his art, but also a good listener receptive to our wishes. He had also been the photographer for a friend's wedding and we were impressed by his results for that assignment. Nic's approach is a calm and relaxed one: definitely for us an approach that was welcome given the many other stresses of a wedding day. Nic was with us individually for shots of preparations, low key but with wonderful results. Although he never impeded our celebrations he managed wonderful shots both formal and informal. There are a number of informal shots that just capture moments perfectly, to the point of bringing a tears to the eyes. Although relaxed Nic did show that he could be firm to get the job done: the bride wanted to party rather have photographs taken, a gentle pep talk from Nic to emphasise the importance of certain shots proved crucial. The impediment to partying was very minor and the bride happy she was persuaded! The photos we have we will cherish forever, and we happily recommend Nic to anyone looking for a wedding photographer.   We had Nic as our photographer for our wedding. We had the silver package and he personalised the package to our needs by letting us exchange the bridal preparations to the engagement shoot. At the engagement shoot Nic made us feel very comfortable as none of us are comfortable having our photos taken. When we received the photos from the engagement shoot, we were overwhelmed with the quality and couldn't wait for him to capture our wedding. The day of the wedding Nic was there from start to finish. He was more like a guest as well as capturing all our special moments. He communicated with all our guests making them feel at ease when having their photos taken. We have received our wedding photos and couldn't believe how many moments he had captured. We are looking forward to him doing our wedding album. 5 stars is not enough to give Nic as he is very professional, friendly and very down to earth. Nothing was to much trouble and we would highly recommend him to anyone. Lyndsay and Mark

  We booked Nic for our wedding in June 2017 and he did a fantastic job. Both me and my now wife aren't the greatest fan of photos being taken of us but Nic and Zoe both made us feel very comfortable and relaxed on the day. We now have the photos back and love their quality and style. Would definitely recommend!

  Nic and Zoe from Pure Aperture were the photographers for our wedding! I loved Nic's style from the onset and he did not disappoint! We are delighted with the relaxed and comfortable style of photography that captures moments and reflected who we are as a couple! We also feel that the package we had was great value for money, with a good variation of photographs and style! Nic consulted with me prior to the wedding but gave great advice on the day!
