They only offer appointments during work hours- what are people with full time jobs supposed to do to access therapy? When you do tell them times that would work for you, they ignore you and assign a time you already said you can't do because of work. They have also not sent me appointment emails before and then asked why I haven't showed up, implying I missed their email when they never sent one.

they deal just with depression and anxiety , nothing else. you cannot talk with them about your other problems. its actually not therapy , maybe just therapy for depression and anxiety.

Joke, not service. They confirm with you booking of an appointment, at the day (after waiting anxiously for WEEKS) you're going there just to find out, no one does the service at the appointed place and WHAT'S MORE no one even booked that appointment on the system for you in the first place. One big mess. They don't give half care about people with mental problems. If you want your mental condition to get actually WORSE, then contact these jokers.

I used this service a few years ago now, back in 2019 and I have to say that after self referral, the process was fairly quick. As with all free counselling, it may not be immediate, but I just appreciated being able to get some help at the time. After an initial phone assessment I was put down to have 1-1 sessions. My counsellor (David) was really approachable and easy to talk to, and I felt like I had a place to go to where there was no judgment and was actually listened to. After the sessions had finished, I was given some online therapy work to keep up my progress, they didn’t just leave me in the lurch, and said if I needed to come back, I would have to wait another 6 months (due to funding) but they would be there if I needed someone to talk to again. I would recommend this service to anyone who needs it. :)

not helpful at all. VERY slow to be in contact with. After initial filling in forms i twas a MONTH before theyd call me to suggest what they can do. I missed this call due to bad signal or something (cant remember) and it was another 3 weeks to rebook!. Have the call, I tell them i have bad anxiety and depression. They suggets group therapy (to a person with anxiety!) or CBT online courses. Reading.... A Powerpoint presentation.... for depression... I sai don the phone i wont read it, it wont go in... Nothing. Another MONTH passes before the next review call, and woops they dont call again n email saying "we guess you dont need us anymore"... All i wanted was some one to one councelling... I cant afford private councelling right now.. Awful, uselss, made me worse if anything as now i dont know who to go to, as my GP was also useless.

I, ve been to talking therapies twice & on both occassions they said they couldn, t do anything for me. A complete waste of time & space. They might be able to help some people but they did nothing for me.
