Excellent service from 111 and NHS walk in centre this evening. I called 111 at 20:15, 2 hours later we have had a face to face appointment for our 6 month old, diagnosis has been made and antibiotics prescribed. Thank you for all being amazing :)

The Walk-In Centre, last I went, does not require patients and staff to wear FFP3 masks if able to despite the fact that the deadly and disabling airborne COVID pandemic is ongoing. The staff who were still wearing surgical masks, which are not effective in preventing airborne transmission. Staff who were masked were generally wearing surgical masks. Many staff and patients were unmasked. Moreover, we should be allowed to wait outside the walk-in centre instead of in the waiting room and be called in when it's our turn to even further reduce the chance of COVID transmission while seeking care at the medical centre. Some disabled people cannot wear masks. It is overly optimistic and dangerous to assume everyone will wear their mask with a perfect seal even if the medical center provides FFP3 masks as they should. Seeking care here is playing Russian roulette with COVID with so many more loaded chambers than necessary. We could take the gun out of the game, or at least drastically reduce the chance of getting shot/infected with an FFP3 mask requirements and FFP3 masks provided at the door as well as moving the waiting area outside. Even if COVID is transmitted with FFP3 masks provided an required, the viral load would be much lower than otherwise, which matters for lessening the severity of the infection as much as possible. The only thing keeping this review from being one star is the fact that some staff were still wearing masks and masks were provided, albeit surgical masks.

Staff and service is excellent however need more staff as wait time is horrendous. Took our 1 year old and only one parent allow in. Fair enough I waited outside. After been told a wait of an hour and a half. I am currently still sat on the wall outside 3 hours later!!

Arrived on a busy Sunday morning, patients were queung out the door but I couldn't fault the service received. All 3 members of staff who I spoke to (Triage, Reception & Nurse Practitioner) were friendly & efficient. I was in & out within 45 minutes with my diagnosis & prescription. This is a fantastic resource when your GP cannot help and A&E is not appropriate. It would be a shame to lose it.
