Always helpful and polite dropping off parcels or overseas mail. Patient when using up old stamps. Never hit a long queue even around Christmas, lucky I guess. I greatly appreciate a local post office service and especially as the banks stop counter services out of office hours.

Having lived in the village for over 5 years and understand what to expect from a first class customer service with over 35 years in the industry I have to call out poppleton post office as a first class service which I use daily! Raj and the team could not be more helpful and are always up for a chat and if there is anything you can’t find he will be the first to obtain items for your next visit. I want to thank Raj and his team for a great service and for rising above a positively appalling racist review from a uneducated individual who clearly is living in 1950s with the attitude he shows. Lovely staff and great customer service. In response to Russell’s review below which in my opinion is very wrong and discriminative, I would say the staff are always friendly and willing to help. In our experience whenever we go in we’re greeted with a smile and always have a lovely chat. Such a shame some people who have been residents since ‘1999’ feel the need to bad mouth such kind people and not help a small local business. Also no curry smells at all, I’d get that checked if I was you Russell.

Well stocked shop and All day post office service. Vehicle tax , paying bills, payzone, free cash withdrawal and cash deposit service available all the time. Lottery machine, scratch card , off license, beers, wines, milk, bread, cereals, fresh vegetables, local meats, frozen foods, groceries, greeting cards, session cards and American drinks and sweets available. Worth visiting this place.

Mmmm. Been a resident of Poppleton since 1999 and the Post Office has generally been pretty good on the whole. But oh my goodness what has happened since Chris left last year. I have been in there on several occasions recently. Not a good experience. Two staff members on site today, no eye contact, no greeting, curt and abrupt no please or thank you's. Not good in what is after all a customer facing business. In addition it wreaks of curry! Another Poppleton asset that has been turned to rubbish. Good job we have a CO-OP that sells stamps!

Terrible service always, never an interest to see you use their services! Been in Several times to send items that are either pre paid or in store, to have different rules with different people in store around sending items with weights and sizes, one of the worst post offices in York!
