Absolute disgrace of a company! They have neglected my mums house for over 4 years and each time we call for a manger to get back to us, no action was ever made on her profile

CHECK YOUR SERVICE CHARGE BREAKDOWN!! They put my service charge up to £82 a week with charges for a garden when I’m on the 1st floor. I appealed the charges and it’s gone down to £43 and they’re still overcharging me and splitting the charges with another house they own down the road! They also charge for community electricity (£9.91 a week!) when the only thing I share is a single lightbulb with my downstairs neighbour- how could they charge for that when it’s connected to one of our meters that we pay to electric companys? Absolutely disgusting, they take advantage of ‘vulnerable’ young people who work and have to pay all their own bills.

Disgrace of a service. Called the out of hours service for an emergency at 9:30 a leak which was on the wash hand basin sink completely flooded the bathroom, the lady who answered the phone seemed like she was out raving, loud music playing at the background couldn’t even hear her, also someone at the background kept saying pass me the drink…I am speechless !!!!! Was told someone will come in the next hour and it has now been 4 hours since the call and no one has arrived I have a pension mother who is also very I’ll and is disabled - the last thing she wants is this kind of service - I will be writing a letter to tower hamlets MP about this housing association. As the funding that is being pumped into the organisation from the government clearly not working for the residents as we are being mistreated - and believe me I’m not the only one PLEASE READ ALL OTHER REVIEWS - STAY AWAY FROM THE HOUSING ASSOCIATION

If I could give zero stars, I would. Newlon refuses to engage with tenants about urgent repairs and safety concerns. For instance, residents of Lascar Wharf in Limehouse like myself have consistently complained about the bin room being insecure, leading to rough sleepers, and a recent fire. Over the bank holiday weekend, the lift has been broken for 5 days. Despite repeated calls, this has not been fixed. This is particularly unacceptable for a building in which many wheelchair users live. Newlon also claims that CCTV footage has been 'lost'. When an assault happened inside the building a month ago, Newlon refused to respond to the police when they requested CCTV footage to investigate the crime.

As a resident of over 15 years, I can say with confidence that anyone considering a property with Newlon should reconsider. 50% service charge increases year on year are standard practice. They always find ways of spending more while doing less. Newlon is an iceberg of deceit, and all I know about is the tip I can see. Every year brings more costs, stress, and inability to communicate with them, and they focus on burocracy and blocking rather than assistance and solutions. They do not even reply to statutory requests within the legally prescribed timeframes. Ineffective but also operating outside of the regulations set for the sector they operate within' Their values of Truthful / Trusted / Supportive / Fair / Quality / Safe are not upheld in how they operate their business. I wish they would at least try to help, but as you can see from a range of reviews, that's not the newlon way.
