Extremely frustrated at this school. My education has been taken for a joke since I joined. Teacher punctuality is poor and staff tend to not respond to emails. Last year, a RIDICULOUS amount of hours were wasted on our school striking, we never got that lesson time back. Newvic, you have taken my education for a joke. You have one shot of getting a college education - from my experience, I would avoid enrolling here. There isn’t a comforting, study environment atmosphere either. Positive experiences: pastoral support is good. Disappointed. 💔

I had an amazing experience personally both first and second year but unfortunately it was cut short due to covid. The teachers which I had were beyond amazing and the vibes are amazing!

I went to Newvic to enrol my younger brother, he got mutism (cannot speak) but he can hear and fully understand. However the Head of IT did not allow us to enrol him just because he cannot speak and they cannot cope with it. they even said "He won't be successful, he wont be able to provide any good to his employers. Look for other colleges" when he clearly managed to pass and complete his GCSEs. i even asked "how do you deal with students learning difficulties?" he simply started looking left and right with his eyes and gave me that "I dont know" facial expression and told me "There are other options go and apply for other colleges, if they dont take him come back to us." (meaning that they have the possibility to take him but they simply don't want him) This is discrimination, I would not reccomend this college to anyone as half of the teachers in there follow Marxist ideals and they care only about their job, their salary, and not their student's future.

Studied A-Levels here briefly during September 2021 - November 2021, went through a rough patch during the summer so my grades went down to EBU for Chemistry, Physics and Maths. Started working on one subject slowly getting my grades back up, hence the B in physics, aiming to do the same with Chemistry next and I was trying to get help from the school! Instead of helping me when I asked for help, I was pressured into resitting Y12 as Karen Flanagan and David Phillip as well as one other head of department (forgot their name) told me I had to either resit Y12 or leave the college as I would "make the school look bad bringing down the average point score due to my low grades". They had no faith in me, as my grades in September were UUU and now they were EBU. I left the college and went to another where I got my grades up to CBD and Suprise surprise, NEWVIC want me back! I return as the library was one of the few places where I could concentrate and work in and they are already trying to make me resit again. I left again for the final time and now at a better and more supportive sixthform my grades are AA*B with 4 university offers and an Oxford interview in the coming weeks! Just shows with a little support and a load of faith you can do it!
