Completed my CBT with James and Neil. I’d give 10 stars if I could. Fantastic training. One of the most amazing experiences I’ve ever had in my life and it’s opened the door for me to begin my 2 wheeled journey. James has quite a sense of humour that I’ve never come across before. Very funny man. They are closing soon for good due to construction works so if you want to pass your CBT then book in with these guys before it’s too late. 10/10 training no corners cut. Thank you so much Neil & James. If James continues training in the future I hope I can do my full bike license with him.

Did my CBT a few days ago (age 57 - so age is not a barrier!) with James and with 3 others on the course (one other when on road). Came here after both children (in their 20s) had also done training here and as a surprise for biker other half. James had great, patient manner, found ways to help me relax and see/feel/understand what I needed to do if I wasn't quite getting it, never made anyone feel daft for questions or getting anything wrong, and was a calm voice in the ear on the road - even when I made mistakes (or the same one, many times...). Oh, and hubby says NC750x is a great bike, you just don't realise it yet 😏. Linda

Absolutely superb! After a pretty bad experience, confidence-bashing to be honest, with another 'school', I came here and they got me through both MOD 1 and MOD 2 within a week!!!! And I was unfamiliar with Newcastle's roads etc but that wasn't an issue with these guys. Just very professional, patient, courteous, punctual and all the things you'd expect. In particular, aspects of their professionalism that I liked were: 1. Plenty of test slots pre-booked which you can fit into when ready, rather than having to wait weeks after your lesson(s) 2. You do all prep on the exact same bike you'll use for test 3. You have a suitable area for training and you even have the option for practising MOD 1 at the actual test centre - that's a massive confidence booster and game changer. With my previous 'school' the practice was all done on a working industrial estate and shambolic car park, waiting for trucks etc to get out of the way! 4. No hanging around 5. Plenty of prep for MOD 2 before doing MOD1, as they are NOT mutually exclusive Thoroughly recommend the guys at Newcastle Rider Training if that locale is an option for you.

Friendly, efficient, great service and full of useful knowledge. Go above and beyond. A good selection of bikes and great with people of varying abilities. I hope a suitable site becomes available for Neil and the team.

Did my CBT last May with James and got some great advice off him to get into an empty car park and practice practice practice. Worked out really well and completed my DAS with the great help of Kev as my instructor just last week. The bikes are really good fun to learn on as well. Many thanks again for having the patience to get me through my A licence.

Newcastle Rider Training helped me complete my CBT… I have always had a love for motorbikes and at 44 decided ‘why not’. The training given was spectacular, professional, thorough and cannot recommend them enough. I have only ever been a passenger and had no experience and achieved my CBT and proud to have earned my certificate. This is thanks to James and his calm, productive feedback and not forgetting the sarcasm (joke) I have already booked in for the start of my lessons to see me through getting my full bike license and cannot wait and wouldn’t want to go elsewhere. Thank you 😊

Absolutely first class training from Neil and his team. I done my CBT, Mod 1 & 2 with NRT. On my CBT James was superb from the start. Patient and very helpful and had me feeling comfortable very quickly. Most of my further training was with Kev, cracking bloke, doesn’t miss a trick and he just wants you to be a good safe rider and pass. He’s a complete professional when he’s training you. I really enjoyed the training and learnt so much. I also went out with Neil a couple of times who was also superb at explaining the good, bad and uglies of the motorcycle world. If you are looking to progress your motorcycle journey you’ll not go wrong with NRT, a class act!

If you want to learn how to ride a motorbike there is no place you need to go but here. I could not sing the guys praises anymore they were sheer perfection from start to finish, I passed my theory, mod 1 and mod 2 first time easily and it took me 3 times to pass my practical driving test! This isn’t an ad I honestly couldn’t be happier with the way things went. From doing the CBT day course with James I knew I wanted to progress further so booked up to do the whole hog. I had most of my lessons with Kev who is a great laugh and puts your mind at ease and is a great teacher! I did my final couple lessons with Neil the owner there isn’t a thing he doesn’t know and helped me massively pass my mod 1 and mod 2 instantly. Couldn’t be happier.
