  I wish I’d read TrustPilot before I dealt with Newbury Mobility. I met with Newbury Mobility on 19th October 2022 and placed an order for a stair lift for my elderly parents aged 88 and 93, and I paid £1900 deposit. The installation date of 24th November 2022 got postponed by Newbury Mobility and before we could agree to a new one my mother died, unexpectedly, on 5th December 2022. I spoke to the sales person the following day and told him it was likely that my father would go into a care home in January 2023 and I would not need a lift. The sales person agreed that this was ok ‘as nothing had been made yet’. He confirmed he’d put the order on ‘Hold’ until January 2023 and if I cancelled then I would get my deposit back as ‘nothing had been made’. I phoned him back early January 2023 and cancelled the order, as my dad went into a home, and the sales person said I would get a full refund which he would arrange for me. I waited for weeks and heard nothing. I eventually starting phoning and left numerous messages with the receptionist(s) asking for someone to call me back. They never did. In the end I sent a recorded delivery letter demanding a full refund. Newbury Mobility dealt with that by sending me a recorded letter saying I wasn’t entitled to one due to their T&C’s, which I argued I had never seen nor were they sent to me by post, email or discussed verbally. Indeed, the sales person told me 3 times I was entitled to a refund. They never responded. I eventually raised a Visa Debit Card dispute through the bank who eventually settled the claim in my favour. This took about 10 weeks. I think they have changed their terms and conditions now but they were absolutely appalling to deal with during a period of immense stress for me.

  I recently used Newbury Mobility Ltd to install a stairlift in my home, and I couldn't be happier with the service I received. The team at Newbury Mobility were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about their products, and they were able to guide me through the entire process from start to finish. The installation of the stairlift was completed quickly and efficiently, and the team were very respectful of my home throughout the process. They took the time to ensure that the stairlift was installed exactly to my specifications, and they even gave me a demonstration of how to use it before they left. Overall, I was very impressed with the level of service I received from Newbury Mobility Ltd. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a reliable and professional company to install a stairlift in their home.   David was very helpful with the removal of our stairlift, he and his colleague were done in 30 mins. The best part was , they removed it without causing any damage to the carpet on our stairs which was great. Would recommend 100%.

  I called this company as my stairlift had completely broken down. I’m 100% reliant on it, being an amputee. I was promised a call back, that day. Nothing. I called again, Friday. I spoke to a man that again, took my details and told I’d be called back. Nothing. Facing the weekend without my lift was a dire prospect, I sleep upstairs and my bathroom is upstairs. It didn’t help that it was the week that one of the hottest days to be recorded in this country. I called another company, Monday lunchtime, by which time, I’d not showered since Wednesday. My stairlift was fixed Monday evening. Thank you Mark. If you need speedy service, go elsewhere. Oh and if I was able to award NO stars I would have done.

  Chose Newbury Mobilty to fit the stairlift in my parents home as my elderly father is unable to get up and down the stairs nowadays and has been in a hospital bed downstairs desperate to get back into his own bed. I can’t recommend David and Newbury Mobility enough, genuine, honest, to the point, efficient and no hard sell or hours worth of doing their upmost to win my parents over like other companies we saw I could mention. There was a little wait to have the stairlift installed but David did his best to sort as soon as possible and was always available for any questions we had. The difference it has made to my fathers mental well-being thanks to being able to get upstairs to bed and the shower has been huge, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Newbury Mobility to anybody thinking of having one installed in their home, thank you!🙂

  During my search for a solution to my stairway configuration problem I came across a very knowledgeable helpful young man who though he did not personally benefit financially was willing to point me in the best direction. I think he might be worth hiring just to give you advice.
