Great place to spend a few hours and see some rare reptiles, luckily we saw most of them when we were there, just need to be patient! The adders were amazing. Family and dog friendly with a nice walking trail in the forest, the volunteer staff were friendly and knowledgable and there are toilets here. It's free to park but they accept donations. We visited on a bank holiday and will be back with the rest of the family next time it's open. Well worth a visit. Check the Forestry England website for the correct opening times though as its not open all year round!

Really enjoyed the visit here while on my family break . Its set in stunning grounds and has great natural display areas outside for the local reptiles and amphibians. Great learning experience for kids and adults alike and it's free which is very rare

Go on a sunny day as youre more likely to spot things .we saw an adder with 4 babies, a smooth snake a frog and a newt..there's also a nice walk you can do but it was quite muddy..there are toilets on site and when we were there an ice cream van. It shuts at 3.30..its Def worth a visit but I've been before and only seen one snake so it's pot luck if you see anything! There's one picnic table but space for rugs and a visitor centre with info boards and leaflets

Lovely free attraction with free parking (they suggest a small donation) to get the kiddies out and about and give them something to search for in the Reptile houses. We spotted an adder!!! And considering it was cold and wet, we were well chuffed! Walks from the car park sign posted, toilets there too. Spent about half hour just at the Reptile Centre part.

Had a nice day out and a really nice walk on the trail. Nice to see some wildlife up close. Hopefully return in mid summer and see a bit more activity as was really hard to spot some of the frogs and lizards.

Fantastic place to spend a few hours in the New Forest. Free to enter lots of knowledgeable volunteers to help spot and learn about various reptiles. Saw a baby adder which was very exciting. There are trails into the forest from the reptile centre and picnic benches close by. Great place with seasonal opening times so check before you go.

This is more of a quick visit place than a whole day, but the kids loved spotting the mini hearts in the pods, lovely friendly staff, and a loo. Lovely trail walks from here too
