I read the reviews here but still decided to make contact and visited Mark to buy chicks from them just because our local farms are not able to meet us on weekends. Had an excellent experience with Mark today and felt the need to give positive review for people considering them but worried about the negative reviews here. They are really just ordinary southwest people, reserved, friendly, not at all condescending - we are foreigners and very new to raising chicken from chicks. Mark was very patiently giving us loads of advice, and a box of eggs (for food) for free, in fact we meant to buy those eggs. I don't think the negative reviews here are fair (I am not sure Mark reads those anyway).

Under 25% fertility on some hatching eggs, messaged him to give feedback (I didn't ask for a refund / free eggs - simply feedback for his own knowledge) as this is much below normal. He replied: “surprised you have the audacity to complain, don’t buy anything else from me in the future” Highly disappointed considering I have purchased a good amount from him over the last 2 years.

Will never buy from here again! Brought £100 worth of chicks ever since we got them they have been dying off one by one. We have lost over half of them now. We raise our own chicks fine after hatching them off never had a problem over the years with our own, we have a full set up. There was a couple unwell chicks in the mans shed when we went to collect them but didn’t think much of it at the time, but we are still battling with what ever is happening with the ones we got, as we are still loosing them no matter what we do! We are having to isolate them and hoping that’s enough for what ever this is not to spread to all our other birds! I would NEVER buy from here again! We could of potentially lost everything we have built up! We have only had problems ever since we purchased these birds and they have not come into contact with anything since we got them, they also went into a brand new big brooder, so defiantly have not caught anything from being with us but they starting to dye from the get go. Be careful where you spend your money! Highly disappointed!
