Quieter times allow us to update this review. Predictably nothing from Netley Court, save for the usual defensive response by any owner to a bad review. There’ll probably be another after this! During a visit to my mother, when I mentioned the laundry matter to a staff member, she was disgusted with it & to my surprise, took me to the laundry and invited me to compile evidence and take pictures. We will present this evidence to the appropriate authorities (or any interested party/person) when time permits. This was an appalling mess and notes left by staff there showed the problems they had. They also showed that The Manager had not signed the appropriate paperwork there for 11 months. The picture was one of general untidiness and lack of supervision. The rest of the review remains as before. 1.Isolating mother longer than promised. Senior Management (Admissions Manager in particular) did not understand its own Covid rules) resulting in us being misled. Isolation was unthinking and effectively resulted in incarceration. 2.No shower given for two days due to lack of equipment or common sense. 3.Mother doing her own washing in her ensuite sink due to her running out of clean underwear. See laundry problems already identified. 4.No peace at night due a fellow resident banging on the walls and shouting. Complete failure of Netley Court to address matters. Nothing is what it was and that is certainly true of Netley Court. It used to be a lovely, well run place to stay but it has sadly declined during successive visits over the years and the last visit (and it really will be the last) was a miserable one for my 97-year-old mother. Avoid at all costs (and it certainly costs). This home is all show.

Savage the 13th

Extremely high turn over due to management being abusive to staff especially the manager. Most people don't stay there for more than a month or till they find something else. I can guarantee the 5 star reviews are not legitimate. Steer clear if you value yourself as a person.
