A waste of money and time. Unprofessional at the best of times. Our coordinator changed dates meaning our small group were separated a few times - a shame as the social aspect was part of the charm of doing this course. The slides are a mess. You get added to a WhatsApp group and then sent pdfs, slides, word docs - none of which are assembled into one large file or maybe pasted into one large PowerPoint - nope. Most of the classes were time wasting “discussing” pdfs. A lot of the information does NOT have scientific back-up. Had I known there were alternative courses I would have chosen those

NCT IS MY BIGGEST REGRET, when it comes to decisions I’ve made about parenting. You, NCT members, have done your absolute best to infuse a whole bunch of pseudo scientific ideas, highly politically charged to a group of people that just needed basic support on how to navigate the leaking ship the NHS is. The ridiculous, fanatic, radical and irrational obsession you have with natural birth is simply criminal. In the most vulnerable time, you have pushed my wife and I to make decisions that have left a mark forever. Shame on you and your bucolic view on childbirth. You should express your nostalgia in a different way, instead of pushing people for ridiculous things as home delivery. SHAME ON YOU.

Just finished a weekend in-person course. It was so lovely to meet other parents and talk about the different aspects of pregnancy, child birth and parenting. Even though I’ve read tonnes of books and watched YouTube videos etc I still learned so many new things. I liked the non-judgemental Approach our facilitator had about the different types of birth options. She had such a great delivery approach and was just an all-round inspiration. I can’t wait to connect with the other parents going forwards.

Why NCT was my BIGGEST REGRET... You will never get those countless precious pre baby hours back. You will not learn anything that is not provided FREE by the NHS in a short informative webinar. You may even be provided with inaccurate information that is harmful to caring for your baby.

We were informed that our two day classroom course had to be cancelled and we were having a zoom classroom instead. The course facilitator placed us into several groups were we had to talk to anothe couple about various topics. These were long and awkward and not what any of us had booked onto the course for. This was punctuated with brief information read from slides by facilitator. When the facilitator was asked ANY basic question they flapped instead of signposting. They did not sent us any course materials that were promised and it felt like facilitators were very under qualified and tried to run out the clock with busy work rather than education or support. As far as I'm concerned they took the money and ran.

Wish I had read these reviews before wasting so much money on such a pointless and uninformative course. The content was meandering and unstructured, the sessions were long, late and dull, the information was out of date and we all left the course just feeling none the wiser. Quite often the information was just being read out to us from the NHS website which we can obviously access ourselves so we don’t need to pay the best part of £300 for that. Tried to complain but they don’t care and they’re clearly just trading on their brand name. There are lots of other alternatives out there and I wish I had tried one of those instead. Don’t waste your money!!!!

There's not enough content, the structure is poor, the delivery wasn't great, it's neither very informative or inspiring. It lacks detail, pace, interaction, demonstration. It is almost pointless for C section Mums. But even for both delivery methods, the detail just isn't there. I learnt nothing really and felt really flat afterwards. I genuinely think the only positive might be that I meet a few local parents. Far too expensive for what you get. Honestly don't waste your money.
