A wonderful manor house with beautiful gardens and parkland. Tredegar House is a National Trust property and offers free parking for members. There is a small fee for non-members which can be paid using the machines in the car park. You have to pay a separate fee to enter the manor house and walled gardens but this is very reasonably priced and certainly worth it. There is a small cafe/tearoom on site offering a variety of warm and cold drinks, cakes and snacks. The parkland is very popular with families and dog walkers and offers a pleasant circular walk through open parkland, a wooded area and ornamental lake. There is not additional cost for the parkland and pedestrian access is available at all times. The house and parkland offer a number of events throughout the year so it is definitely worth checking their website before visiting.

Really nice place to visit. We went mainly for the gardens and there is plenty of open green space for picnics or for kids to play.
