Beautiful place, we went to the open air cinema but heard mainly the food van talking orders the whole time, when we got there there was no sign posts to say where to go so we was late, I did find the lady on the gate a bit rude as I got asked why I have brought so much ( a small cool box and a blanket for my daughter) where as there was other families with 2 cool boxes and tents.

Had a great morning here. Easy to find, good signposting to car park. Friendly volunteers, a buggy ride is provided at regular intervals to get to the Mansion, Lichfield apartment's, cafe, we walked there but its a bit of a distance. Loved the farm and the exhibition. Best bit for me as a nearly 60 year old was that I'm seeing things from my past, bringing back memories, rather than I'm the distant past. Some of it currently closed but that didn't detract. Lovely cuppa in cafe and plenty of choice including veg/vegan. And free drinking water too . Great day out

Very good National Trust Estate that was royal and celebrity photographer Lord Patrick Litchfields house and party pad! Lots of rooms open to the public with knowledgeable and friendly room guide volunteers. His private apartment is also open with a lot of his equipment and lots of his photos. Plus you can visit a farm, walled garden, stables, extensive grounds to walk around, formal gardens and an excellent cafe with gluten free options.

Missed the entrance on arrival ( I guess that was my fault), but from the moment we entered the grounds, it was so tranquil and clean and tidy. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and thoroughly enjoyed our time there, the toilets also were very well presented. We are working out when we can go back as our original visit was not long enough to appreciate everything on offer. Thank you, Shugborough.

Really lovely day out on a sunny Saturday. Staff all really friendly & friendly. Grounds kept really well, and nice to look at. The mansion was interesting. Lovely to walk around the grounds. Could walk for miles at Shugborough. Not sure I'd pay to enter as it would have been £35 for our family but we were fortunate enough to have a free ticket so we just paid for refreshments which were reasonable and sat in a lovely outdoor area. We saw some baby birds, cows and calf, sheep and lambs. Would recommend if you visit and spend money at National Trust. If I went again I'd take a picnic and sit and enjoy that with my family as there is loads of lovely places to sit & watch the world go by.
