Quite fascinating how the homes were carved in the rock, and how they made furniture fit by chopping away even more. Lovely tea room with friendly staff,tasty coffee and cakes there too. We went on the purple trail round the walk, on reaching the top of the iron age fort, the views were amazing, on the walk it was very up and down small hills, some had loose dirt and a little steep, so good shoes are a must. Overall a lovely few hours out.

Had a great day out. Been in the national Trust for 4 years and didn't realize that this was on our doorstep The guide was absolutely fantastic telling stories about the past and really enjoyed talking about the houses. He looked as tho he loved his job

These 'Rock houses' are well worth a visit but most suitable if you are more mobile only because it is a little uphill walk from the parking by the road and to reach the houses after entering the ticket office. The cafe is small but offers a range of snacks, but most seating is outside but with stunning views of the countryside. For walkers, there is Kinver Edge by it, so you can easily fill a day here.
