I visited the Dyrham park because I drive past it everyday and the curiosity took hold and had to visit a weekend. Loved the orangery, toilets onsite, beautiful grounds. Well worth a visit.

A large country estate (belonging to the National Trust) close to Bath and within a short drive of the M4. We use it as a mid-way stop on the drive to Pembrokeshire (so the kids can have a run-around). The grounds are beautiful, with a number of paths to explore. I don't know much about the house itself, but there is a good sized NT cafe serving hot food, sandwiches and cakes. Worth noting that the car park is at the top of a sizeable hill, with the house at the bottom. The main path linking the two is paved and winding, though (so not too steep). NT do run a mobility bus from the top for those that need it.
