Hidden gem of an experience, with a nice cafe open perfect for the hot days. Not done the walk yet but the centre was lovely and looking forward to another visit soon.

Friendly, helpful & informative with lots for kids to do from panning for (fool's) Gold and (semi) Precious Stones to stamping on the floor above a seismograph. There are zip wires nearby in a specialist centre. Lots of rocks to see of course, mostly limestone with subtle yet interesting palaeoenvironmental explanations - picture yourself in the equivalent of the Bahamas over 300 million years ago. There's also an old railway track for walking or cycling through the amazingly hilly country.
