Wow! This place stunned this equine Novice. I knew nothing about horses, let alone racing horses before going. I think I now have a beginners bit. The displays were informative and interactive for Littles. We did a tour, which was fabulous as we got to talk to trainers and see horses being trained. Our guide was friendly and very knowledgeable and answered all this newbies questions. Ran out of time to see the art across the street and will be back. Thank you ladies!

Informative experience on how racehorses are retrained. Bakery/coffee shop on site with plenty room to sit and enjoy the peace and quiet. And you can test yourself on a horse trainer harder than you think. Good couple of hours in Newmarket.

What an interesting and informative place this is. If you are interested in horses, or someone who watches horse racing, if only Gold cup weeks or Grand National once a year, I would recommend a visit if your in the area. I came out understanding so so much more of how the horse racing world works. Excellent rehoming tour explaining the programme to eventually get these finely tuned race horses in a total different condition for rehoming and a new life outside racing.

Loads to see and do. Guided tour twice a day to look at the resident horses and hear all about them. Cafe and bakery on site. Admission included a free return valid for a year! Will definitely be back as we didn't get round everything as we were going racing in the afternoon.

This museum covers an extensive history of horse racing in Britain. My girls enjoyed it because it was pretty interactive. There are also racing horses which you can see. The staff is lovely. It would be best to have more than an hour to visit this museum.
