We visited when visiting our daughter at university. Staff were helpful and very friendly even though they were all working really hard. Food was delicious and hot and plenty of it. Very friendly girls serving. I am sadden to read one very derogatory review which personally attacks a young member of staff. To this particular person: If you are unhappy with the food that’s fair enough, leave a reviews stating this…… but to be personally offensive towards a young person is absolutely disgusting and uncalled for. Most of the staff are students who are paying huge universities fees on-top of the cost of living crisis and they all should be applauded for their dedication to working a hard job which often has long hours and late nights on-top of doing a full time degree. So to ALL the Yorkshire Roast staff, I salute you 🖤

My favourite spot in York for a hearty, well priced lunch. Love the beastly pork sandwich. First was here in 2015 and it’s still just a great eight years later.

Very cool idea! In my opinion it was pretty dry and sparse on ingredients. Had the beef wrap and partner had the pork wrap. Definitely top of the range for price for what you get. Wouldn’t pay £2.00 for double meat. Definitely a novelty.
