BE AWARE! SCAM! After having an engine failure we decided to take our van to Naismiths engineering in Wimbledon. We were told they would be able to remove the engine and put a second hand new engine inside. After paying close to £4,000 for a new engine, 6 months later the van broke down again. We got 3 different opinions on the supposing new engine and all 3 individuals have heard of naismiths and this isn’t the first time they have seen them lie about putting a proper working engine in. We are now left with a van off the road and £4,000 out of pocket. We continue to try and reach out to naismiths however no response and or hostile attitude. We want justice and will be looking to take this the legal route very soon. Service: Engine repair

Well this a little overdue but I haven't had the chance to take my engine rebuild through it's paces until the weekend when I had to travel from London to Gloucester in the snow. I have to say my mini Cooper drove like a dream getting me safely there and back and for the first time since I bought it a pleasure to drive! Robert at Naismith kept me fully informed what needed to be done and what would be worth looking at to avoid any issues down the line showing me the worn and damaged parts that originally caused me the problems . 10/10 workmanship and skill. These guys know their stuff - it's an old school engineering shop so don't expect a pristine place full of cheerful 17year olds, but you will find a group of experts on cars from 1950 onwards

I have taken my Volvo to Naismith Engneering for the last 12 years for full service and MOT preparation and carry out any work required. My Volvo has never broken down, never failed to start and always passed the MOT without advisors! Naismith's are very experienced motor engineers, I am always pleased with the work carried out and the price, a load cheaper than any main dealer.
