I have bought lots on two occasions from N L Auctions, within the last month.The delivery time for receipt of them is 1st class. However, their listings are highly inadequate. Make sure sure you ask for a condition report prior to biddng. One was nonfunctional, the other, the finish was rubbish. Caveat Emptor. And we are not talking sub £100 lots!

If you want to get ripped off go to these guys. They told us that they wanted a transport fee which they used as the auction reserve. We got forty quid for a lovely limed oak dining room suite and sideboard. Don't touch these characters.

A thoroughly unpleasant customer experience. My mum left several items for auction. They didn’t sell which is fine of course but the auction house lost the box for one of the items which will make selling it on Gumtree or Freecycling it more difficult now - particularly as the original box was a perfect fit to protect the item in transit. While irritating, this lack of care by the auction house is forgivable. What is unacceptable is the dreadful attitude of the woman my mum spoke to in the phone. Rude, abrupt, zero empathy, no apology, defensive in an aggressive way. Had she simply apologised the whole incident would have been forgotten about but instead she chose to turn a minor oversight into a horrible experience for no reason. Such a shame because her colleagues were apparently really lovely to deal with.
