Been three times and each time it is a nice surprise! Problem is that I can't taste something new as I want what I had the previous time! My favourite is the roti canai with dhal. Not cheap, but def worth going!!

Booked a large table for Mother’s Day. Service was soooo slow and no explanation or compensation offered. Food arrived at different times, some peoples dishes brought out 20 minutes later than others. Food very expensive for small portions. One dish was brought to the table and the waiter explained that they had run out of the main ingredient so just used something completely different. To add insult to injury the bill came and had a 10% service charge added to it. We did discuss this with our server and all they could say was that there was one less chef in the kitchen. Really disappointing.

Delicious food🔥🔥🔥 The nasi kerabu is too die for😋 However, the prices are quite steep for the Northerners, in my opinion, and the nasi kandar has room for improvement. :)

Firstly, the food we had at MyMakan was delicious. For starters we had Roti Canai which was crisp and flaky, and Karipap which was lovely too. For our main course we had Mee Kari (curried noodle soup, really delicious and spicy, generous size) and Beef Rendang. I found that the beef in the rendang was very tough and dry. The sauce was delicious though. I did however order it with a side of coconut rice, which was delicious too, but a good example of our main criticism of MyMakan - it’s too expensive. Our rendang was £15.25 for a pretty modest portion, and the rice was another £5.50 on top of that. The service we received was great, our waitress was lovely. She did inform us that quite a few dishes on the menu weren’t available, which makes me think that maybe the menu should be cut down a bit. Ultimately, we found the total cost of the meal (for 2 starters, 2 mains and 2 soft drinks) to be unsustainable, so despite the food being mostly great, we likely won’t be back.

Food was pricey for what it was and I wouldn't go back. Main dishes didn't come with rice, at £15 I'd have expected them to. Rice was a further £5-6 which seemed pricey. Service was slow, waited 25 mins for juice - the restaurant doesn't serve alcohol anymore. To top it off, I asked to take my 2 spring rolls home and they only gave me 1 and hoped I wouldn't notice! The recommendations below are from when the previous owners owned it. It changed hands a couple of weeks ago. It was a lot better a few months ago and has gone downhill.
