Where start, this surgery, or maybe it’s just a business, has extremely poor customer service. I fully understand the pressure the NHS is under but my issues appear to down to poorly trained staff & poor systems. Appointments, if you manage to get through and they decide you can have a telephone appointment, routine appointments are currently up to 4 weeks, I’ve twice been assigned a call in the “morning”, the first time the doctor actually called at 12:30, I’d been waiting since 8:30 for the call, couldn’t understand why I’d waited in all morning for the call! Second telephone appointment, again in the “morning”, unacceptable, so I called and they happily gave me a 1 hour time slot, really don’t know why they didn’t do this in the first place? On another occasion I was told to monitor my blood pressure over a week, called the surgery to ask if they had a loan BP machine was told they didn’t have a loan service, I could call into the surgery twice a day and take my own reading, or buy my own, I bought my own only to receive a call from the surgery a few days later to ask if I wanted to borrow one of their loan machines!!! Lastly when I had an upset stomach I spoke to reception and rather than waste the doctors time we agreed I could just take a sample for testing, dropped it off, 2 days later received a text, test cancelled as not requested by a doctor!!! Every contact I have with is surgery is unprofessional, some of the staff really don’t seem to understand how their surgery works, it’s quite depressing, it just feels like they don’t care, offering the minimum service they can get away with. PS don’t mention an ear problem because the first thing they’ll tell you is they don’t syringe ears on the NHS at this surgery, other surgery’s do but not this one.

I received excellent care from Dr Lewis and Sally yesterday when my body responded badly to having a mirena coil fitted (heart rate and blood pressure plummeted!). They were calm, professional and took the time to ensure I was fully recovered before letting me go home. Amazing team- thank you 🙏

At times it is difficult to get an appointment however when i send in a request that needs urgent response it is dealt with. Tough times for all health services at the moment but i have found them to be responsive. Possibly only concern i have had is that staff on reception may need to communicate better however i am aware that they do their best.

My daughter was I’ll, she is. Single parent and was worried she has Strep A. She became worse over a period of time, getting an appointment in the event was impossible. It took 5 days for the surgery to respond to her contact asking her to fill in a questionnaire. A call from a triage nurse would have been helpful. Her response - why bother no help is available. Help from doctors is rarer than hens teeth. Some of the staff are overworked but they are not doctors.

What a disappointment, a GP practice that is unable to provide a booking system that is fit for purpose. Their reply to my complaint I can only assume has been mixed up with someone else's as the content of the reply doesn't even address the main points I raised. How on earth has this practice fallen so far?
