My daughter had to have a tooth extracted yesterday. The dentist as well as her assistant were amazing with her. As she has difficulties. They both were very patient and kind. Thank you so much.

I struggle to use the steep steps into the building but there are handrails. Not much use if you are a wheelchair user though. The dental practice itself is very well organised over 3 floors. There is a room on the ground floor for those who are not good at using the stairs. Staff very friendly and helpful. I'm not keen on going to the dentist (who is?) But the person I see is aware of my irrational fear and treats me accordingly. You are informed of the cost before any work is done so there are no nasty surprises. Only got 4 stars due to lack of disability access. Yes you can park a mobility scooter at the front of the building and chain it to a pillar, but that's not really practical . There is no room round the back in the car park to leave a mobility scooter ( I did ask). There is no separate disabled access. If it wasn't for my fear of changing dentists I would have moved long ago. But this dentist knows me and that's very important to me. So, I can recommend the dental practice BUT not the disability facilities. I know it's an old building but adaptions can be made!!! ***** Just had 2 fillings. No drill, no injection, fear factor lowered. Thank you much . Can't increase rating as disabled facilities still in the state. Even the toilet is up a flight of steep stairs!

Me and my partner had a joint appointment, his straight after mine. He has fairly bad anxiety with dentists due to bad childhood experiences with them, so he was nervous for his appointment. I asked to accompany him due to this, and let the dentists know beforehand of it. They were kind and accomodating the entire way through, the receptionist was lovely and helped relax and ease through the process, talking us through start to finish and providing a list of treatments needed and breakdowns of price. After 4 years of not having an appointment (and for him, 7+!) due to lockdown we were prepared for bad news, but it turns out our dental hygiene is better than what we feared! I was worried about going private as well, but the prices for the treatment are fair. When we left, my partner was in tears - he felt like he was respected, and being told his dental hygiene is fine and he's doing a great job, in contrast to being berated as a child at other dentists, made him far less anxious for future appointments and extractions, lessening his dental anxiety and making him thankful for having gone. Thank you mydentist for providing him with the best experience he's had, and giving him less anxiety and more incentive for future appointments. You have no idea how much it's meant to us.

Filling fell out 3 times, was then told I would have to pay again. Had appointments cancelled 3 times in a row. Had to wait 6months for a hygiene appointment. Worst dentist I’ve used. Private Dentist prices but unfortunately my previous NHS dentist was by far better.

Partner chose to go private after plenty of hospital visits, calls to 111 and trying to find an NHS dentist. Well, all was great to begin with. Antibiotics were given and a checkup was done and a plan of care decided. He ended up having an extraction, which should’ve been done by surgery instead but the dentist still decided to continue with attempting to extract this tooth. Ever since there’s been nothing but trouble, he has been here at least 3 times since the extraction with a mouth swollen like a golf ball and has just been written off with antibiotics. The last time they did this, they didn’t even touch the infection so we sat in A&E for 6/7 hours and it turns out he had a huge abscess, two huge infections and left over root in the extraction site which is causing the reoccurring infection. This extraction, and the treatment overall wasn’t cheap either and it just feels like he’s getting fobbed off. Today they decided to call and stop his care, even though pinderfields said he needs to be referred to the dental hospital ASAP. This has caused him so much stress, anxiety and upset already suffering from anxiety. I’m also heavily pregnant and this has also been a nightmare for me and mentally draining. I was going to book myself in for a checkup but I’ve decided against it as I’d like to keep all my teeth and remain infection free, I’d rather see no dentist than go through this ordeal myself as having to watch it was enough.

Having to pay for consultation before service then paying 60£ for oral hygiene for 5mins. Poor management, I felt humiliated having to wait to speak to the manager in regards to payment plan of having dentures. Manager saw me at last after 1hr, pretended to have been busy , he said I was to receive an email to start the payment plan, with in 10 minutes up to date still waiting. I felt side lined looked down on to.

The staff on reception and my dentist are excellent however this is the least family friendly practice if you have children in a pram. Not accessible because of all the stairs. Even to get in the building is up stairs. It wouldn't be too bad but once inside there is nothing to keep children entertained in the slightest. And no doors in the waiting rooms so you can't even put your child down to fill out the paperwork.

Absolutely appalling treatment, not having right equipment working and make you pay for your consultation before telling you they don't have to right equipment also not helped one little bit to get me out of pain, in the worst excruciating pain to have to leave exactly the same Absolutely disgusting, all about the money had I have known certain equipment wasn't working I would have gone else where and paid for the right people to help me, there is no care here it's all about taking your money I was in tears and nobody asked if I was ok, not one person cared my husband was told on the phone this morning they would get me out of pain, I'm a very nervous person at the dentist anyway so took alot for me to go and now I'm having to ring other to get further help that these didn't care about doing so more anxiety for me
