    Been on my builder as a tradepreson it really is just a waste of time you get shortlisted for jobs and get not work from it and as the tradepreson you have to pay fee which car range for £2.50 up £38 + vat which that I have seen could be more and it really is quite a expense when you not get work . be shortlisted a good few time and get in contact with people and no get back to you had to get on to my builder to see if I could get the shortlisted fee waved one job seen the person where not back to me and still had to pay it think it was about £16.50 included vat it really is just a waste of time for trade people it all right if you get work from it to pay for that fee

    Prices for trades are getting ridiculous!!! £12+vat to swap a outside tap !! 7 trades get shortlisted for the job Only for when you make contact with in seconds of been shortlisted they said they have already found someone for the job with in seconds!!! So what was the point in getting shortlisted listed ? I have had this loads of times with my builder and when I press this to my builder they just flow you off saying the contact details work! Don't help that you don't tell the customers that you charge the trades a fee and the fee amount Was a good site back in 2017 but of the years this is happening on nearly a daily basis!!! But they the put there fees sky high for a small job! As a trade avoid this site its past its sell by date !!!

    Will never use again. Sticking to checkatrade from now on, if a dodgy builder is on their site and stiffs you out of money all they will do is Violate GDPR by sending you the builder personal details and tell you to figure it out yourself. useless company

    This company is really poor. It encourages you to shortlist 5 people, not telling you that they charge the tradesperson a fee for every single shortlist. Of course, you can only hire one person, so the other 4 still get charged. The company is making money off them and they are not getting the jobs. I tried to give feedback for the person I did hire and they refused to publish my feedback, then refused to explain why when I enquired over this. Avoid at all costs!

    Beware!!! Do not sign up as if a customer shortlists you, you will get charged I'm trying to dispute with them but don't know what will happen. I never knew this before. So a customer picks you too see the job and there is an instant charge so you haven't even made any money viewed the job but 'Mybuilder' is smiling as they are making money regardless.

    Customers should be made aware that every tradesman they shortlist gets charged a ridiculous fee. I got charged £36 to look at a job for the customer to say they want a company who does multiple trades which I clearly don't advertise. When I suggested this to my builder they said: This idea has not been implemented due to the likelihood that it would deter homeowners from using the site to seek several quotes, and therefore significantly impact how many jobs are posted on the site. Money grabbing site, absolute disgrace. Definitely the worst site for a tradesman. You give all tradesman the same reply when we complain about this. Its fine for you sitting behind your desk copy and pasting your reply to us getting paid. We get over charged for the shortlist fee, it's not a relatively small fee like you stated in a reply to someone else. You don't go to view the job so you should have a cap on your charge. People who get the job should get the shortlist fee and the rest of us a lower charge
