    I have natural hair and this is one of the only places I would allow to do a silk press. I always leave feeling fantastic! And my curls always come back bouncy as ever when its wash day. Mellissa and Alison are great.

    So I went to this salon in 2019 to colour and cut my natural hair here for the first and last time. The stylist was rough and ended up putting my hair through a chemical treatment twice and then putting another colour on top over 2 days because she had messed up my colour during the first and second attempt. The experience was bad and my natural hair cut was not good but I just chalked it up to be a general bad salon experience, I've had these before. A few days later I was on holiday and i started to experience pain, bleeding and burning in the crown of my head. This lead to bleeding and inflammation for around 2 years. It is now 3 years later and after various trips to my GP, my local hospital and a private dermatologist I have been left with two scars on my head, one of which is large however the inflammation has finally calmed down - the combination of the chemical treatment and the roughness triggered scarring alopecia. I would not go here at all, but specifically if you are natural STAY AWAY - it is not worth it. Services: Curly hair, Hair coloring

    I waited two months before living this review to make sure I was not mistaken. I have to say they messed up pretty badly. I visited in December to get a trim before the new year. Everyone at this Salon was lovely (thougha little unprofessional and untidy). Unfortunately being nice is not enough. I have had natural 4C hair for more than 5 years and have been to many salons. I have sometimes been disappointed, but never have a hairdresser ruined my hair in this way. When I came in, the hairdresser said that my hair was healthy and she also noted that it was effortless to straighten (so no need to go through it several times). I left the Salon with severe heat damage. As far as I can tell, the hairdresser spent way too much time blowing hot air at my hair. She also mentioned herself that the straighteners used are standard Babyliss 'at home' straighteners. I am very disappointed and expect it to take a couple of years before cutting off all the damaged hair, as I do not want to sport short hair. I had been growing my hair for quite some time, and going to this Salon was a huge mistake as far as I am concerned. I am happy to be in more relaxed and unpretentious environments, but results should be good. This is not the case at MYHAIRBAR. I do not recommend going there at all. Service: Hairstyling

    I was a walk in three days before xmas, but they still fit me in. Alyson rinsed, cut and styled my hair and it was brilliant. She is clearly a very experienced and talented hairdresser. I've been to black hairdressers all over the globe, but this is by far the best one. What's also good is that the ladies doing afro hair have afro hair and really understand it. It's a central london salon, but is not pretentious or overpriced. Certainly reccomend
