We asked staff at the British Museum where to eat, and Museum Tavern was highly recommended. It was wonderful in every way. We had to wait a bit for a table, and it was worth the wait. Every employee was polite, kind, and helpful. Food and beverages were superb! Prices were on par with other pubs in Central London. Every pub requires ordering at the bar or via app. Thank you for a memorable visit, great dining experience!

We understand this is a pub and that the service is a little different. We were totally fine to seat ourselves, but than to order you either go up to the bar or download and order through an app. We are not drinkers and wanted to try some local English fare somewhere near where we were staying. It took us a bit to ask some questions and get everything figured out, but once we did we received our food quickly and exactly as ordered. The mac-n-cheese was phenomenal with garlic bread and the dressed salad was super tasty as well. Ordered a side of their house seasoned fries as well which was average, but yummy none-the-less
