My father has now been in this home for the past 2 and a half years. He generally seems at ease in his surroundings, but dementia has taken away so much from him. The staff in the past have been great, kind, considerate and caring, however, recently I have seen a high turnover of care staff. Yesterday I visited, to notice my father covered in tea (he has a tendency of spilling things, and normally uses a sippy cup type thing to try and prevent some of the spills) as he had poured his drink all over himself. His white tea shirt was covered in tea, was practically dry, and the only wet part was cold to the touch. His tracksuit bottoms were also wet. A staff member then said, once I was seen, that my father had only had just done it, and they were about to change him. Honestly, I actually felt at that moment that my father was a hindrance to the staff, and not a person who is actually in need of care. I don't like visiting my father in the home, as he doesn't know who I am, and it reminds me what my father, and I, have lost. The situation upset my mother who goes to see him most days, but has felt a little unwell this week, so was the first time she saw him in 6 days. Please Murrayfield, he is still loved, he is still family, and he needs your help. I know you can do better!!

My grandmother paid for a service that she never received. My grandmother was disabled, she couldn’t walk or feed herself. Unfortunately she was abused, neglected and left to rot by members of staff. They covered her injuries during visitation times as a disguise but the smell became unbearable. Once her clothes were removed she had developed stage four gangrene, a broken toe, Sepsis, Candida of the mouth and stomach and several other infections.

I give half a star I visited a very close family member I was disgraced to see the sort of care they give by looking at my family that I visited and when I mentioned it to the Carer's they started giving me excuses sorry but there is no excuses in a job like this.

If I could give half a star I would. By far the worst Care Home I have ever had the unpleasantness of visiting. Unfortunately my aunt spent her last 3 years in this hell hole. The staff are incompetent and behave disgracefully for nurses who are there to provide care for the elderly in need of nursing care. My aunt would spend hours without being attended to, this was made even worse as she could go to the toilet on her own accord. The best advice I could give anyone who may be considering this nursing home for a loved one is avoid at all cost!
