Quaint family run restaurant with good selection. Unagi don (teriyaki eel rice bowl) was generous in portion and full of flavour. Yellowfin tuna nigiri (1pc) was satisfying albeit a little larger than I’m used to. Quite delicious. Draft Asahi beer is recommended for that izakaya experience. They have other examples of nice Japanese beer too. Friendly staff and good quality off peak. Would be interested in visiting again to try more on the specials board. Feel that you need to book at peak times , (small restaurant and quite popular.)

Booked a table for 2pm in advance as there was 6 of us. Table was ready on arrival, I'm glad we booked as the place was busy with only the reserved tables being free, The staff were really helpful and made you feel welcome We all ordered roasts I had the lamb shank which was so succulent and tasty, all the trimmings were there inc all different types of veg, the portions were also a really good size. The only thing I would say is on a Sunday get there early as they start to run out of certain roasts. The wine was a bit pricey but really rather nice and the food was v reasonably priced.

Booked an igloo which was cool, service was great, the guy who showed us to our seats was very welcoming and nice and MEGAN the waitress was very attentive, kind and understanding when we encountered a problem with one of our dishes and handled the situation very professionally. She made the experience very nice!
