It's brilliant that in London in a short walk one can go from towering financial business buildings to an oasis of nature and reality. Mudchute farm is a moment of calm in a crazy central London lifestyle. We visited the cafe, which is untouched by the corporate hand, retaining the feel of a country farm. The breakfast was exactly as we hoped, hearty, honest, unpretentious. We managed to avoid the herds of children mid morning on a weekday and enjoyed the straight forwardness of it all. Where else in London can you see horses being groomed whilst having brunch?

I was so excited to get back into horse riding after over 20 years. I called Mudchute Equstrian Centre to book in for a lesson, emailed twice and called again. Still waiting for someone to get back to me. Seems impossible to book anything!

Such an amazing community farm, with a great range of ponies & horses. It's a really hands on stables who encourage you to get close to the animals and focus on great quality teaching. Lessons right next to Canary Wharf after work (7pm & 8pm) as well as weekends!
