Unfortunately has been one bad experience from another and I’ve not even had the minor surgery yet. So initially spent at least an 90 minutes waiting to get through to an operator to book an appointment. The operator did apologise and stated new software was causing delays. Operator was friendly, helpful and provided all the information I needed and answered and questions and finished by booking an appointment on a suitable date/time. 1 month prior to the surgery I receive a text from their automated service stating the time has changed from a morning to and afternoon, wasn’t ideal but doable and had enough time to work around it. 3 hours prior to surgery I receive a further text from their automated service stating the appointment has been cancelled due to staff sickness. I appreciate these things cannot be helped but how can they have no contingency or allowance for staff sickness, lean model to run off and at the expense of the patients. I tried calling and unfortunately the operator couldn’t help me ascertain new date/time. Huge inconvenience and poorly managed/communicated so let’s see what happens moving forward.
