Lies stacked on top of lies. Don’t believe a word any of them say, they create a facade so you believe everything is fine when in reality it’s really not. They throw every single obstacle you could imagine to ensure this is the most difficult process you will ever go through. Go private do not waste your time here

I had two here. Some time ago! Not good experiences (in this situation never is) although felt better going private!

The nurse showed no empathy. Very cold and showed no support and I found her to be very cold and abrupt. Very bad experience. Not the best experience when you are already going through so much. Insisted nothing could be seen so early on. Yet I walk away with a nearly 7 week scan! Which would have been calculated because I provided my last day of my period. Overall, very disappointed in this service. Would not recommend anyone to visit here. I was absolutely hysterical and asked for a tissue so she gave me tissue from the end of the bed I had just lied on. So unprofessional.

I had a very mixed experience in 2017. The majority of the staff were very helpful and kind. I was concerned because on my visit I explained that I had lost a significant amount of weight since my pre-op assessment in Leeds 2 weeks prior. I was not weighed again so the dose of anaesthetic I was administered was based on my previous weight. I had a very unusual reaction to the general anaesthetic - all the other patients were assisted in walking back to the chairs in recovery. I was brought in in a wheelchair (which I have no recollection of) and very slowly came round. It took me A LOT longer than the other patients before I was in a reasonable enough condition to leave and it was still a couple more hours before I felt I had actually ‘come round’. I didn’t feel better until the next day. I have since had an operation on my ear under general anaesthetic and I had a very different reaction - I came round very quickly and could’ve happily gotten up and walked around after 10 mins of being awake if I’d not been attached to machines by wires. I do understand that people respond to anaesthesia in different ways and that it’s not always the same, but I do feel the drastic amount of weight I’d lost had something to do with it. However, my main issue was with a particular older female staff member, whose name escapes me. I had a terrible experience with her. While I was waiting in a certain part of the building she took me into a room and asked me about my situation (I was only 16 at the time) and claimed that it was my 2nd abortion in two weeks and that my first one was in Leeds! I explained that my appointment in Leeds was for an assessment and this one in Manchester is for the actual procedure and I’d travelled so far because it was the only available place that was soon enough. I also asked how she thought it was possible for me to terminate a pregnancy and 2 weeks later have a surgical abortion for a 18+2 pregnancy... She insisted that she was right and began lecturing me on what my behaviour was doing to those around me like my Mum! I was absolutely mortified but she eventually let it be. My experience with her doesn’t overshadow the rest of the staff though, they were all so lovely from start to finish and I felt particularly safe in the main room where we’d wait before and after the procedure. Lots of accommodations made for comfort and pain management.

I have been wanting to write this review for a while now however I’ve always been scared of any hate given. However, after hearing the news on no protest zones I wanted to share my experience. This clinic went above and beyond for my care and I’m forever grateful for all the support I was given. As any woman would be, I was terrified however every member of staff from the nurses to the reception staff, you are all an absolute credit and I can’t thank you all enough. I had a surgical abortion, I can not empathise how relaxed and supportive every member of staff was. The support and advice given from the clinic is amazing. I’m writing this review to empower women and to thank all the team for support they gave me. The procedures are so quick but the aftercare lasts a life time. Thankyou to all members of staff, you all changed my life for the better. I’m forever grateful. Ladies please don’t let anyone make your choice for you, it’s your body and your choice.

I felt I really had to share my experience of this place because I’ve never felt so safe and supported anywhere in my life! I was bordering distraught when I turned up - i was crying and so scared and had no idea what to expect. I had an early medical abortion and I’m fortunate enough to be with a very supportive partner who came with me. I had to go to the upstairs waiting room by myself which I was initially a bit scared of as I was already very upset about the whole day, but you soon realise this is to minimise the number of people waiting and to ensure women in less fortunate situations feel safe and not pressured by their partners. The whole time I was there I was offered counselling/support, contraception advice, and treated with so much respect and zero judgement. I took the first pill at the clinic and took the second set of pills there too. They took a few hours to kick in, unfortunately I had very bad cramps and nausea (not helped by pain relief) with fever and chills, but it only lasted a few hours and the pregnancy passed relatively quickly. I left the clinic feeling incredibly supported and relieved and I’d been given all the advice and aftercare I needed. I can’t thank these ladies enough for what they do!
