Mr Khazali performed my robot-assist hysterectomy in November. I was out of bed and home the next day, pain free. I was able to get back to normal activity within weeks. I cannot recommend him highly enough. He is skilled, patient, communicative and extremely professional and his support team are helpful and responsive. I feel as if I am 10 years younger and wish I had seen him years ago.

I underwent surgery with Mr Khazali in Jan 2023. I felt listened to for the first time ever, he was sympathetic and gave me lots of information so I was able to make a well informed decision. I felt I was in the best hands with him and Avril and I’m so impressed only 6 weeks on with how neat and small my scars are and how well I’m healing. He works with the most wonderful team. I especially would like to mention Leandri who went above and beyond both before and after my surgery to calm my anxiety, explain everything, reassure me, check in and just generally look after me. I felt so well cared for and supported by all of them. Thank you.

Having had my most recent surgical excision of my endometriosis back in October 2020, I wanted to sincerely thank Mr Khazali and his team for transforming my life. I was diagnosed in 2017 with Stage 4 deep infiltrating endometriosis everywhere you can imagine, and the pain that came with it was significantly impacting my life 2.5weeks out of every 4. I found Mr Khazali through some online research and after some scans, consultations and my second surgery with him (the first was to free my uterus and surrounding areas, the second to help with the bladder pain I experienced) I can say nothing other than he performed a miracle on me. I didn’t think I could have my life back but Mr Khazali truly listened to me when I told him about my symptoms and what I wanted to do with regards to treatment and he came up with a plan that took in to account my future and needs. I am writing this review two and a half years on as I can gladly say that the pain levels have never returned to what they used to be. To have my life back, to be able to have a social life, be successful and present at work, and just live almost pain free is something I never imagined would happen. The effects were almost immediate post surgery and still feel great today. I am still under the care of the team for annual check ups due to the nature of my condition but knowing I am being monitored and under expert care is extremely reassuring. For anyone experiencing this condition, there is only one person I would recommend for advice and treatment, especially having seen multiple surgeons before finding Mr Khazali.

Mr Khazali has given me my life back! Difficult to put into words or summarise however before my surgery even walking my dog was impossible. I was exhausted, constantly in pain and feeling hopeless due to stage 4 endometriosis. I underwent a bowel resection and extensive endometriosis excision. Now I am exercising and feeling fantastic, like my true self. I have felt so safe and most importantly listened to, Mr Khazali and team are so responsive, always happy to answer questions and hear concerns. Now I feel ready to just “go live”. Thank you!

I had my second laparoscopy with Mr. Khazali Sep2022. all of the process was so quick, I still cannot believe how quickly I had my initial consultation and surgery appointment booked( I was already on NHS high priority waiting list for almost 2 years) . Everything went so smooth and he took all endometriosis that he found out without any complications .Mr. Khazali and his team explained everything clearly before and after the surgery. I saw and listened to many professionals speaks about endo and how effects my body but Mr. Khazali understood me the most and I had a great confidence before my surgery that I will be in good hand which is so important mentally to know that you are under care of one of the most knowledgeable endo surgeon in the UK. I experienced so much nerve pain and symptoms, this was one of the main reason that I travel from Manchester to get treated by Mr. Khazali as he has has been trained for Neuropelveology and he have helped so many woman in the past. I cannot say how much I will feel better as I am only 3 weeks post op however he found endo almost wherever I had pain and I assume that most of my pain will go away soon. The secretory and specialist nurse were so helpful when I had a concern I just contact them and they would advice me whatI need to do.

I had a great experience with the entire team with Mr Khazali for my endometriosis surgery. Mr Khazali has been very informative and caring whilst dealing with my surgery and all surrounding it. The nurse specialist, Leandri, put me at ease before the surgery and followed up during my recovery process.

I recently visited Mr Khazali and his team at the Lister Hospital in London. I was fortunate to have the endometriosis diagnosed early by Mr Khazali, and he was prompt to arrange various consultations, an MRI and the surgery within 4 weeks. When I discussed my results with Mr Khazali, I knew I had found the best specialist. Not only was he diligent and professional, he also appreciated the human aspect of the disease. Although the surgery day did not go to plan, by no fault of Mr Khazali nor his hospital team, I have never felt so heard or cared for by hospital staff. I was very nervous when I arrived, and Mr Khazali, Ben, Ester, Leandri, and the wider nurses at the Lister Hospital were incredibly supportive. I plan on rearranging my surgery for a future date, however I know there is no other surgeon, nor team, I wish to take care of me and my endometriosis. I thank them very much for their support so far on my journey and look forward to continuing on it with them.

I underwent surgery on 30th May 2022 with Mr Shaheen Khazali supported by Ben and Anaesthetist Dr Ester Avagliano, all of whom I cannot express enough gratitude to. I was diagnosed with Stage 4 deeply infiltrating/extra pelvic endometriosis, adenomyosis with large endometriomas on each of my ovaries approximately 2 years ago having suffered with chronic pain for 15 years or so and suffering a whole range of symptoms often leaving me debilitated. I had approached many endometriosis specialists before meeting with Mr Khazali and I had been advised undergo hysterectomy so as to have some quality of life or invasive surgery that I would result in the formation of a permanent stoma. Surgery with Mr Khazali went very well, it was a long and complex surgery but nearly 3 and a half months later I am feeling healthier than I have felt in a long time with near to no pain at all. I cannot thank Mr Khazali and his team enough for their efforts, I am now able to enjoy my life. I would certainly recommend Mr Khazali to anyone suffering with endometriosis. I wasted time looking for local consultants based in the North West but I would honestly advise against that, there is no one more specialised in this area in the UK than Mr Khazali. Mr Khazali was fast and efficient, I had surgery within 4 weeks of my initial consultation and it was well worth the travel from Manchester to London. The aftercare calls from Ben went above and beyond. The only negative part of my experience was the care (or lack thereof) by the nurses following surgery at The Lister Hospital, Chelsea. The standard of care was appalling and I would not recommend this hospital to anyone considering surgery (my surgery did take place during the week of the Queen’s Jubilee – as I was reminded many times by nursing staff - and this may be why there was a slip in the standard of care – not a good enough excuse considering the significant expense of fees charged by the hospital). Mr Khazali does also offer surgery at the Runnymede Hospital in Surrey and it may be that they offer better standards of care to inpatients. Ruqayyah Ahmed
