I did lots of research before I chose Mr Ramesh Nair to operate on me. There was another neurosurgeon in London and one in Berlin but I opted for Mr Nair because he does the operation I needed (endoscopic transphenoidal resection of pituitary tumour) on a regular basis and has a dedicated team of experts around him. He and his team gave me all the information I needed to make the right decision and I always felt like they had my best interests at heart. My post-operation experience was much better than I had imagined and I am glad I underwent this surgery under the care of Mr Nair.

Not for the doctor, his secretary...Tried to book an appointment, met with a very rude secretary, who instead of trying to solve my problem, was mocking me. I have real doubts about the efficiency of these so called private treatments. Had a fantastic experience at NHS. Requested an urgent appointment for January in November but still they can't...oh really. what are you charging £££££ for. I am going back to NHS

Many thanks for your skills and kindness to me during this bump in the road! Having been diagnosed with an AVM (Aug 18), I was an emotional wreck and was aware I had a ticking time bomb in my head. However after my first appointment Dr R Nair (Dec 18) I instantly felt his calming reassuring presence. His professionally explained my options and although they were scary, I felt better equipped. At my second consultation, I decided to opt for brain surgery instead of Gammer Knife. It was his kindness and presence that swayed me towards my decision. My intuition was telling me all will be ok, you’re in great hands. On the day of the surgery (9th May 19) and the day before, Dr Nair came to visit me and my family and answered any last minute nerving question I had. He gently put me at ease and I felt mentally prepared for my impending surgery. From the very beginning his fantastic care towards me and my whole family was felt by us all. His quality and integrity as a surgeon and, more fundamentally, as a person, shine through. After my 9hr surgery, I remember Dr Nair coming into the recovery room waking me up, I knew at that point I was ok and the surgery went well. I’m 5 weeks into my recovery now and feel amazing. Despite the headache or two, the fantastic care I received at Charring Cross Hospital really helped me power through with my recovery. To do the job you do, takes a lot of tenacity and love. His quality and integrity as a surgeon and, more fundamentally, as a person, shine through. To do the job doctors do, takes a lot of tenacity and love. Words cannot describe how grateful I am to you. You have a special gift as a surgeon and as a person. Thank you for saving my life. I can live in peace knowing my AVM has successfully been removed.
