I had been considering having my ears pinned back for as long as I can remember and finally booked in with Paul Chatrath after reading reviews online and I am so glad I did. He was amazing throughout and I am extremely happy with the results - I wish I had done it sooner!! I would highly recommend Mr Chatrath as a surgeon

I am currently 7 months post op (septorhinoplasty) and I am in love with my result. I have wanted a rhinoplasty for 9 years. I was extremely insecure of my nose from a very young age. I felt like the bump and crookedness of my nose did not compliment the rest of my features and it made me feel horrible inside. I would always look at a ton of before and after photos of other people who have had rhinoplasty and feel happy for them because I wanted to experience that myself. Previously in 2019 I had an adenoidectomy under the NHS at Spire London East due to breathing problems (with another surgeon). After this surgery I still had trouble breathing so I was once again checked and informed that I had a deviated septum and needed surgery to help with my breathing. Initially my plan was to cosmetically change my nose in my late 20’s (I am in my early 20’s) but I thought I’d just opt for a septorhinoplasty so I only have surgery once and not on two separate occasions. When looking for surgeons in the UK there weren't any that I was personally drawn towards. I then contacted ‘MYA cosmetic surgery’ and had a “consultation”. This was not a consultation with the surgeon, it was with an advisor and I personally did not like their process as I wanted direct contact with the surgeon. I then went to the Spire London East hospital website to search for surgeons and that’s where I found Mr Paul Chatrath. Instantly I knew I wanted him to be my surgeon. I booked in for a consultation after about a year of saving up. I had no other surgeons on my list because I was so sure this would be the right decision. I wanted this surgery for so long so I knew I had to get it right the first time (and I did!). Mr Paul Chatrath listened to all my concerns and not once pointed out what was “wrong” with my nose, which I highly respect. He made me feel comfortable throughout the whole process, was kind, patient, and answered my very long list of questions as I was super nervous because this was such a huge deal for me. He was very very honest about the risks of the surgery and informed me that he cannot guarantee perfection. Although in my opinion I believe he did achieve perfection with my nose! Post surgery I barely bruised which I was quite shocked about, only bled very lightly the first 2 days. My cast removal was after 8 days and while my nose was massively swollen I was still satisfied with the results because I no longer had a bump on my nose. My number one goal was to not have a bump. Mr Paul Chatrath would see me quite often for check ups and would listen to any other concerns or questions I had. At 6 months post op I had a steroid injection for my nose, this reduced swelling by a lot, after 2 weeks I could see almost a final result of how my nose would look. I was so impressed and I never thought I’d look in the mirror and tell myself I had the perfect nose. In terms of breathing, I am so happy that I can now breathe through my nose without any trouble. I am 7 months post op and my life has changed for the better. I feel beautiful both inside and outside. My confidence has grown so much in such a short amount of time. I’m so glad I made the decision to choose Mr Paul Chatrath as my surgeon. His secretary was also outstanding! I was in constant contact with her throughout the whole process and she was so lovely and professional. This was the best decision of my life and I will always be grateful for my surgery. I would HIGHLY recommend Mr Paul Chatrath as a surgeon.

Failed me and refused to correct it. Very bad experience and out of order of him. Looks like the others reviewers had a better experience but if something goes wrong well he refused to correct it for me. Just to update this for the response. I was a patient with Mr Chatrath in 2015 when he was serving at queen's hospital. Obviously not a patient now because they told me years ago he left. I do not have the wrong consultant.

Where do I start….well about 7 years ago I developed rhinitis. GP prescribed me nasal steroids. Worked well to control my symptoms. However, around late 2014 my symptoms got worse with a loss of smell and continuous nasal congestion. I ended up being referred to Barts Royal London Hospital. The lead ENT consultant who saw me (I can’t remember his name) misdiagnosed me saying that I had a cold. I was not convinced so asked for a second opinion. I later saw Mr Goswami, another ENT consultant, who confidently and correctly diagnosed my condition as Rhinosinusitis with the presence of nasal polyps. It was a vicious cycle, inflammation, blockage and finally infection. I was offered FESS surgery to remove the polyps and make a small drainage passage. On the day of surgery I assumed Mr Goswami would be carrying out the procedure however it was a totally new surgeon, in addition it was her first day on the job at the hospital. It freaked me out learning this especially never seeing the person before or having surgery in my life. So I decided to cancel it and was given prednisilone, antibiotics and a new type of nasal steroid. It worked like a miracle as I had my sense of smell back. However, this was only short lived and within a few weeks I was back to square one. It affected my quality of life and as such my confidence level was low. Around the same time I had developed dyspepsia where I felt a stuck feeling after eating followed by belching. Still not sure if this is related, nevertheless I had endless tests for this, with the cause still remaining unknown. I was referred again to Barts Royal London Hospital where I saw 2 more ENT consultants. The first one prescribed me a longer course of antibiotics and the second one (I think his name was Sandeep Paun) discussed the surgery options although he did not sound very genuine or sincere about it, besides, I would not allow a surgeon to put me under the knife if I did not have full confidence in the person. At the same time I investigated and researched and even bought a book called ‘Healing your Sinuses’ by Prof Ralph Metson. I also changed my diet (completely non sugar based) and also tried out some herbal medication such as Bromelain and Serrepeptase along with regular nasal irrigation. All these helped to some degree by easing the level of congestion, nevertheless I still had nasal polyps. I was not keen on having FESS due to the complications so I wanted to have balloon Sinoplasty. As I lost confidence in Barts Royal London after seeing some 5 consultants I decided to book a private appoint with Prof Chowdhury at the Spire Roding Hospital. He was a pleasant consultant who also explained to me about the risk of FESS but also stated he does not do balloon Sinoplasty. This left me checking on the internet to find someone who does this procedure locally and moreover had good positive feedback as the last thing I wanted to do was waste further time. Following extensive research I found Dr Paul Chatrath. After checking 5* reviews on various sites I was convinced this was the person to go for. So I booked a private appointment at Spire Roding. At first I was really impressed with his knowledge, expertise and ease of explanation. Not just that, he was very confident and reassuring. Mr Chartrah had great listening skills; he is indeed a credit to Spire Roding. Mr Chatrah carried out my surgery in November 2017 removing my nasal polyps. Very recently I saw Mr Chatrah again. He is a wonderful person and indeed the best of the best one can find in London (and perhaps the country) and the only choice for me as far as ENT matters are concerned.
