A year ago Mr. Datta gave me a new right hip, which completely transformed my life, for the previous 16 years of which I had been in ever increasing pain, which had eventually become extreme. The review that I then gave is intact at the end of this text, but now I want to express further gratitude as follows. Two weeks ago he replaced my left hip also This too had been in steadily increasing pain (by now for 17 years) but always about a year behind the right hip in terms of severity. And now my life is transformed yet further, this time back to where it was when I was very much younger - and I am once again more grateful than I can possibly explain, both to Mr. Datta and to his team. It is a quite incredibly wonderful situation for me, and all I can say is thankyou, thankyou, thankyou ! My original review was written a year ago in March 2022:- Mr. Datta gave be a complete new right hip 5 days ago, and has utterly transformed my life. Many years of considerable pain and incapability are now behind me, and I am already (albeit carefully at this early stage) able to do things that I accepted long ago would never be possible again. Mr. Datta not only did this fantastic job upon me, but he also went to considerable lengths to overcome for me a series of logistical problems to make the operation possible for me. Words cannot meaningfully convey the gratitude I feel, so here in this review, all I can do is to set out the bare facts for any reader to understand. I have got my life back, and am completely stunned by that realization.

I had my knee replaced by Mr Gora Datta 12 days ago. Very sympathetic treatment in a comfortable environment. So far so good.. I can bend my knee to 100 degrees not quite so good straightening it and have taken a few steps indoors unaided. Due to have clips out in two days and so far am very pleased. Still a long way to go.

I recently had hip arthroscopy on my left hip performed by Mr Datta and have recently come off crutches. It is too early to say whether it will prevent a THR as I had a lot of damage. What I can say is how supportive Mr Datta has been throughout. He has provided me with every bit of information about my case so that I could make informed choices. The surgery went very well and I was surprisingly calm considering it was my first operation. If I had to have a THR in the future, I would have no hesitation in choosing Mr Datta to perform the operation. Thank you.

I had a successful Revision Left Total Hip Replacement in January this year (2022) carried out by Mr Gorav Datta and his incredible team. The care and attention I received pre-op, during the surgery it self and post-op was truly outstanding. On discharge I followed everything I had been advised to do with my physio exercises and rest. I set myself a new challenge each day and am delighted to say that by 6 weeks I was back in the pool walking. 8 weeks swimming, 10 weeks driving my manual car. Then amazingly by 12 weeks I was off my crutches outdoors walking 5,000 steps a day without limping or pain and back to my love of kayaking which I celebrated with a 2hr pain free emotional Kayak (in picture). Not only has Mr Datta and his Team given back to me my quality of life with my new pain free hip but also I no longer need high blood pressure tablets. My heartfelt thanks and sincere appreciation to you Mr Datta. I truly cannot recommend Mr Gorav Datta Orthopaedic Surgeon highly enough for Hip Revision Surgery.

Mr Datta replaced my left hip back in 2011 and in so doing he gave me back my life, so when my right hip began giving me problems my first choice was to return to his care. I had my right hip replaced by him 5 weeks ago and even though I am still in the recovery phase I can already see how great the improvement is in my alignment, my walk and my comfort. I am overwhelmingly grateful to Mr Datta for his care and concern, his professionism and his incredible competence. He also happens to be one of the most humble surgeons on the planet, informing me that 'anyone can do a hip replacement' . Well, whether that is true or not, he is my hero and I have told him so. I have 6 very beloved ponies and I work in the equine industry. His interventions have meant that I am able to continue my horse centred activities. I don't have words to describe the value of this gift, which honestly feels quite miraculous. I recommend Mr Datta as a surgeon without any hesitation or reservation and I really wish it were possible that everyone with hip pain could have his attention.
