After several years of suffering the same type of injuries, I thought that it was time to get a professional opinion on my running technique. I had previously had a gait analysis, but that only looked at the way my feet strike the floor. I saw the biometrical analysis and decided to have one, as i presumed that it wasn't just my overpronation causing the issues, but something further up. Joe carried out the analysis and was professional throughout, initially getting me to walk and then run on the treadmill, he had asked about previous injuries and what my running aspirations and goals were. Both were videoed and then i carried out several static exercises, which were also videoed for analysis. Following the assessment, several issues were identified, starting with my head and chest too far forward, arms too low and moving sideways, hip dropping on one side, landing mid foot on one side and heel striking the other, over striding and different length stride from one foot to the other. I had a massive imbalance on one side compared to the other. No wonder i was getting the same injuries all the time with all the stress going through my feet. It was decided that I would be best to undergo a rehab programme first, even before we think of my running technique. I have so far attended 2 rehab sessions, which were aimed at addressing the imbalances found in the initial analysis. In between, i have been carrying out the recommended exercises at home and also at work. Lots of band work! The results so far have been amazing and I can already feel the difference and improvements in my running. I feel more upright, arms moving as they are supposed to, mid foot strikes on both feet and not over striding. I'm only half way through the rehab programme, continuing with the exercises and on the road to running correctly, which will/should prevent further injuries.

Joe took time to understand what I wanted both in terms of improving my running technique and rehab following an ACL injury. The programme that I am now following with Joe is exactly what I need to get back to distance running. 100% recommended.

Alex is fantastic, I came to him with back pain, tried all sorts of other treatments. Movement rehab helped fix the cause of the problems and I am more mindful how I move in daily life and continue with excercises he showed me. Since then I have trekked in the Himalayas, I am very grateful! Highly recommended.
